NAMI SUPREME BUFFET — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

My wife and I treat ourselves to a special date night once a month, and we were genuinely looking forward to dining here. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below our expectations from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot, and the slippery floors were an immediate red flag.

The food was the biggest letdown. My wife’s sushi arrived warm—an immediate concern for a dish that should be cold and fresh. Meanwhile, my chicken and broccoli was the complete opposite: ice cold. When we brought this up to our server, we were casually told that the sushi is made “every 10 minutes,” as if that justified the temperature or addressed our concerns.

We each took a single bite of our meals and couldn’t continue. The food was simply inedible. To top it all off, we were still charged full price for what was easily the worst dining experience we’ve had in years—poor customer service, unsafe food temps, and a general lack of care.

This was a night we were really looking forward to, and it was completely ruined. Needless to say, we will not...

The food is actually pretty good for a buffet. Although the sushi has gone downhill since we first went. The rice has been hard the past two times. I wasn't sure how much is customary to tip at a buffet, so I googled it. Multiple pages said 10% or less, so 10% is what I have tipped everytime. This past time, the waitress read the tip in front of me out loud and started complaining about it. I just walked away, and we won't be going back. In my opinion as a former server, that is really weird behavior. I have been ignoring the fact that the waitresses always stand by our table and touch our kids and their plates, but this time was too much for me. Also, my drink was empty half my meal and I still tipped the full recommended amount per google, so I'm not sure what the point was in complaining...

I really was looking forward to this place...oh well.

1. Was told they didn't serve sweet tea even though we could clearly see the tea urns. Got a refill of my Pepsi only to watch her put diet in it and then giggle.
2. Server kept loitering by the tables almost as if he was bored.. asking every 3 minutes if we wanted a plate removed. And nobody likes to be stared at while they are eating...
3. Food tasted mediocre at best...but then not long after we left.. Everyone started having stomach issues.
4. The men's restroom was closed the entire time we were there for "cleaning" and the women's smelled like a sewer.

Don't waste your money or endanger...
