I would definitely send my enemies here for a meal. WITHOUT hesitation! It was a good ole overpriced and dry meal. My fries were hard enough to be used as a weapon. I often wondered how could a burger with a poached egg be dry??That’s a special type of art that this company has mastered. My enemies definitely deserve this! Perfect treat for them! I’ll be surprised if this company stay open long, with serving food like this! My man and I ordered here for the first time Sunday, and rest assure, it will be our last. Total waste of money. Two burgers and one fry- $36.32 - no drinks! I struggled to eat my burger because my man worked hard for his money, and he doesn’t like to return food when it’s not worth what he paid for. However, the fries just HAD to be thrown away. I picked through to find one good one, it was a struggle. Don’t get me started on the sauce. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 The pickle on the side of the meal was the only thing they did right. Not to mention we had to wait because we were told that everything was being cooked “fresh “ - there is no way that this is a fresh meal. We got there hours before the establishment was scheduled to close, and live less than 10 minutes from the restaurant. To get home and see this as our dinner- there is no excuse!

First off, great food. I’ve eaten at the original one in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and it was great too. I came on a slow Thursday afternoon for a quick solo lunch. Had my kindle to read. Was greates and told to sit wherever I wanted and I went outside because the music was very loud and I was trying to read. Ordered my food and a drink. Server answered my questions well enough. Food took longer than expected for how slow it was but it wasn’t excessive. And the food was hot and fresh and great and worth the wait. Server came back once more to drop the check and I asked and got a refill. That was about it. I really enjoyed the burger and fresh fries with their house sauce. I took my cash payment inside (see below for reason why) and none of the servers or bartenders would acknowledge me so I sat it by the bar computer and left. One thing that doesn’t affect my rating but did change and alter my experience is that I was accosted (only word I can think of to describe the situation) by clearly crazy person. I gave him cash and he kept going at me about Jesus and aliens (separate issues). I definitely paid and left as soon as I could. I was pretty much done anyways but it was an unpleasant way to end my afternoon meal.

Ate here tonight for the first time. We liked the ambience and staff were friendly. If you want to eat here, all you can eat is different kinds of burgers or a grilled cheese. Those are your options. The only reason I have them 4 stars is because they have no lettuce or tomato, it’s not an option. I asked why and the bartender told “because we think it takes away from the burger.” Well I feel the customer should make that decision, not the restaurant. They said they had cooked onions but I’m not sure about raw. The burger was good and the fries were good, I just felt I was missing lettuce, tomato, and raw onion. We did like the place and can eat there again. Also, they only have fountain drinks and beer. We don’t drink beer so we had fountain drinks.

Jack Brown's used to be one of my favorite places in town, the play good music, the burger was small but ok. The fries are still the best in town when they dont come out a little soggy.

Here is where the problem starts, I usually eat their a few times a month. I mainly go for the fries. I went two days ago and my fry portions were good and normal. I went tonight and they cut down my whole tables fry order size by what amounts to half of a normal order. One guy at my table had a second order of fries. His second order was 1.5 times the size of his regular order. When I asked the waitress about this, she said they were giving out too many fries so they cut back two weeks ago and nd had every order measured. I know this was a lie because I just had a meal there two days ago. It was still pending on my banking app. So they blatantly lied to my face, cut my tables order of fries almost in half, and told me this has been policy for weeks. My best guess is that it was 10pm so the drinkers are coming out and they feel like they can get away with charging drunk individuals the same price for less food. This is the only place I've ever left a 0 dollar tip. I feel bad for the waitress but I was getting my money back...
