Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures, as I left my phone in the car. We were seated immediately. However, after we were seated, we waited fifteen minutes just for the server to come and ask us for our drinks. Then it was a ten minute wait for drinks. The young man apologized and stated he had been working the bar, tending, and that wasn’t even his assigned section. He brought our teas, I asked for unsweetened, as I am a diabetic, and mine was sweet. When he brought it, luckily we went ahead and ordered an appetizer. Literally, 25 minutes later, the bread and appetizer was served. We ordered our meal, and the only reason we didn’t leave is because I am a diabetic, and after the drink order was placed, I went into the restroom to take my insulin shot. Unfortunately, we waited an hour and thirty five minutes for our food. When it arrived, the steaks were cold, my husband’s mashed potatoes were so cold, the butter would not melt. My son was missing his Mac and Cheese, and there was a hair dark, short hair, wrapped around his corn on the cob. I was missing my brussel sprouts. Those sides arrived another fifteen minutes later… The bathrooms were absolutely filthy. The handicap stall looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week, the toilet paper on the floor was unbelievable, stall garbage overflowing. The other stall literally had so much blood smeared on the wall, it was like someone had been murdered in there. Also, the urine in the floor, like something you would see in a little boys second grade bathroom. I went back to the car to administer my insulin shot. I honestly was afraid I was going to pass out waiting for my food and I am very careful about my food choices. I broke out in that sweat, and was shaking. When we asked the server, he replied, “Your food is up next.” Four different times, he told us that. The server kept apologizing, and it truly was not his fault. The manager came and asked how things were. We were honest. The two gentleman beside us had been there 45 minutes and had yet to receive their drinks, or food. When we finally left, they were bringing their drinks. I’ve never had a bad experience with Longhorn, ever. However, something needs to be done. The entire experience was terrible. For someone else who has very bad diabetes, I can’t imagine setting and waiting. Also, someone who has to take a fast acting Insulin shot, you only have so long that you can wait before it can...
Read moreMy family and I stopped here in Tuscaloosa on our way home from a road trip. We absolutely love Logan's and the atmosphere. However, when we arrived, the hostess saw us come in. No smile, barely acknowledgement. We asked for a high chair for our one year old son. She proceeded to tell us they did not have one available would we be okay with a booster seat. We thought about leaving, but as I said before, we love Logan's and wanted to make it work. She sat us at a high booth and put the menus on the table without another word. She brought us the booster seat, threw it into the seat sideways and walked away. At this point, she seemed intentionally rude. We look at the booster seat and it was very dirty. Caked on food and very sticky. Our server, Dorothy, comes to the table, greets us very warmly, and then we ask if they just did not have a high chair available. She said they did and went to grab one for us. There were a stack of high chairs. She also seated us somewhere a little more comfortable since you cannot use a high chair at the high tables. She was very sweet and said she understood. She was also very warm and even said hello to our toddler who absolutely loves the attention. She got our orders, kept our drinks filled, and asked us if we needed anything. She had to sit us in a section a good distance from her own and still was very attentive, polite, and accommodating. Our food was excellent and exactly what we expect from Logan's. We just want to say thank you to Dorothy for being understanding and very sweet. This location really needs to think about training their hostesses better. Hostesses are one of the first people you see when you enter a restaurant. The least she could have done was smile and be polite instead of acting like we were inconveniencing her. If it wasn't for our server, Dorothy's attitude and professionalism, we would have left as soon as the hostess sat us and treated us like we were not worth the time of day. I've been a front of house manager for a restaurant for years. If I had a hostess treat my guests the way this hostess did, she would either be retrained or shown the door. This restaurant would have 5 stars from me if it wasn't for the Hostesses' blatant disregard for guest needs. Again, I want to stress that our server, Dorothy, was amazing. We will definitely come back to this location just because of...
Read moreLogan’s has always been our “Go to” before Covid, sadly they have done away with the main things that kept us all coming back for more. No peanuts, like Zero! Teriyaki glazed with grilled pineapple & chicken over rice is now half the chicken breast and small portion of rice.. Also, if this isn’t enough, the potato was very small and they do not serve grilled veggie skewers. I’m guessing due to fresh cost more so they lowered the quality and the flavor. I asked our waitress if anything was fresh, she honestly said, nope. Not even the salad, tomato from a can, green beans, broccoli frozen…. And they no longer offer croutons, and no longer have red onions. Only white, so I had to ask for onions with my salad. They no longer offer crackers you gotta ask. We all know COVID has been awful on us all, however if I’m paying almost 75.00 for 3 mid-day meals…. I’ll go where the quality, quantity, flavor & atmosphere leaves us wanting to come back. Sad that Logan’s has lowered its standards/portions while raising prices. We don’t mind paying more as we all know the economy is bad but don’t insult our intelligence with low quality food from a can or frozen broccoli and smaller portions. We couldn’t eat the salads, Not sure if it was the bagged salad or the canned watery tomatoes but it was gross. Oh! And don’t get me started on the cheap quality beef/steaks. This message is for upper management/owners or whom ever made these ridiculous decisions. Even your employees are embarrassed, If you want cafeteria food at steak houses prices, this is your place. We will not return, we expect high quality meat that is fresh and vegetables not from a can and Logan’s no longer offers this. Again, this isn’t against the employees, please forward to the appropriate management headquarters. RIP to the prior Logan’s, sadly seems Covid...
