We went to eat at this restaurant on a Monday which is kids night so us having 3 kids we are always looking for good places to eat that are kid friendly and have deals for kids meals. When we got to the restaurant we were seated almost immediately but they put us in the back room in the corner. About 5 minutes after we were seated our waiter came to the table and got our drink order and we ordered some cheese dip. While he was taking our drink order he seemed to be getting frustrated because the kids could not decide what they wanted to drink but of course with it being kids night any waiter/waitress should expect that from kids. As he brings our drinks and cheese dip out, which were not the drinks we ordered and the cheese dip was cold, he just sets everything down and walks to the table next to us to sing happy birthday with the rest of the wait staff and when they were done singing he just walks away without even acknowledging we were ready to order. So about 8 minutes later he comes back and takes our order (he wasn't listening to what we were telling him we wanted and the order is completely wrong) and we tell him about the cheese being cold and he says well you should have told me when I brought it out. So we tell him very politely that if he would have come back to check on us we could have told him so then he snatches the bowl of cheese off the table and comes back a couple of minutes later WITH THE SAME BOWL OF CHEESE that he stuck in the microwave to warm up. So we ask for a manager and at this point we are ready to get up and go elsewhere to eat but the manager said he would take care of us and took down our correct order and brought us out an extra bowl of cheese dip in addition to the one we ordered (which was replaced as well.) We get our food which was very delicious and when we get thru we ask for our check but the manager had already taken care of it. So our visit started out pretty bad but ended well because of the great management at this restaurant. Needless to say we will be going back just hopefully the 1st waiter will not be on the wait staff...
Read moreI work in an industry whre reviews are everything, so for me to leave a bad review it’s to inform people to know what is going on/happened. We called to place an order of a large cheese dip, salsa, and chips at 5:30. Didn’t not receive our order until 5:56.
I was waiting in the car and we had to be somewhere so I knew it would be quick so I thought. Instead after 15 minutes of waiting, I called my friend and asked if she still had not gotten the food and she said no, so I went in. I asked my friend who she spoke with and what was going on and then tells me she was waiting to pay and a girl at the front would not take her payment because “she could not take payments” but a gentlemen walks in, places an order, and she takes his payment, but couldn’t take my friends. When she told me this that is when I went and talked to the hostess and informed her what was going on due to her being the first person I saw. She said she was the hostess only and I said I get that, just please get me someone who can get our order since it is a simple order. She went to the back then came back and said it will be just a second. I then said I just want to talk to a manager since it’s now been over 20 minutes. The gentlemen that came in after my friend who ordered food that had to be cooked got his food and was out the door before us.
His excuse was that everyone was new. I totally get that people are new and In training, but it was just chips salsa and cheese dip. I informed him I have worked at a Mexican restaurant and know how it works. You have 4 girls up here (who by the way were talking about the whole situation and laughing while I’m talking to the manager) very inappropriate and not good customer service.
We would go here all the time but now after that, something so simple puts a bad taste...
Read moreI’ve tried to give this place multiple chances simply because it is conveniently close to where I live; however, the hostesses and employees that work up front have deterred me from ever coming back again. I walked in yesterday evening wanting to enjoy a nice meal for 1, the hostess asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar (I understood since it’s just me). When I told her I would prefer a booth, she said everything is full (no problem, I don’t mind waiting). I then preceded to ask her if there would be a wait time for a booth and she said “No, everything is just full”…I stood there for a couple of seconds confused on why I couldn’t be seated if there is no wait for a booth, and why I could not be added to the waitlist if everything was “full”. Instead of escalating the situation further, I just chose to leave. In March of this year, when my partner and I arrived to enjoy a nice meal, the hostess wasn’t available, so an employee that worked at the register up front wrote our name and phone number down and said someone would let us know when a table is ready. So after 5-10 minutes of waiting outside, and watching other customers walk in and not have to wait to be seated, we learned that the employee who put our names on the waitlist did not even inform the hostess that she did. We also learned that there was obviously not a wait as other customers who came in after us were seated immediately. When I confronted the worker, she first denied even writing our name and number down on a waitlist, then laughed and said “Ohhhh, sorry about that”.
