On Skyland Blv. Tuscaloosa Alabama my experience was horrible I had my fiancee with me and she had to use the restroom when inside of the place we walked from one side to the other looking for a restroom to no avail after an inquiry of the matter with the cashier we learned that the restroom was outside on the back of the building in disbelief we both then walked outside and towards the rear of the establishment which ended up being a rather narrow path down the left side of the place between it and it's drive thru traffic finally we reached the back of the building immediately we noticed two doors beginning approximately two feet from it's corner on our side, women was posted on a small rectangular plate for the first door,my fiancee entered it as I proceeded to the next which was designated for men but before i could get my hands on the knob of it I heard my companion exclaim " the lights don't work" I then walked back to where she was standing half way in half way out of the door of the ladies room I checked and sure enough their was no lighting in that particular room due to the urgency of the situation my friend decided to use the restroom anyway. I then resumed my journey to the men's room when I arrived at the door of it i immediately noticed the door ajar about a couple inches oh well maybe the last occupant didn't close it all the way I resolved and pushed the door inwards to find it blocked by something afterwards I was able to get the door a couple more inches open and discovered the darn thing was out of order apparently months before now I then walked back and waited outside the ladies room for my companion when she reappeared I decided to use that particular restroom I entered and very much to my disgust noticed a very filthy place the floors appeared to have never been cleaned the sink was at least days unattended as far as cleaning is concerned and the toilet, I'm a man, out of respect for the next man or woman in this particular situation I'm always going to lift the seat but when I did my stomach nearly did a summersault, the bowl of the thing was so nasty,OMG! There was feces on the rim of it,ughhh! I hurry up'ed and did what i had to do and exited that room. Back at the counter as my fiancee and i were about to order I mentioned the lighting and uncleanliness of the restroom and further chided "the cleanliness of a person's or people's wash room speaks alot about the cleanliness of their kitchen ! I then ordered jumbo shrimp, coleslaw and 🍟 while my lady friend ordered jumbo shrimp, coleslaw and fried green tomatoes both orders were prepared and delivered in time expected no gripes there but first of all we had a table in the place yet our meals were prepared in carry-out containers, there were no napkins,no ketchup,no cocktail sauce,no tartar sauce no fork nothing but the food we ordered after we finally got everything situated we ate and baby let me tell you this now i know they're called jumbo but when a shrimp exceeds three whole damn inches... ,the fries were cooked too long! and my lady said the fried green tomatoes didn't taste right so there you have it,...
Read moreEvery time I came to Tuscaloosa I visited Sharks from 15th to Skyland. As long as the people that owned it was running it everything was always good hot and served in a timely manner. Since the African American man has been at the window the orders have never been right. I even received a long red hair with my food from the woman at the window that does not wear a hair net. I have never seen either with any gloves on. And let’s not mention the extremely loud music that you have to try to talk over. After all of that I still decided to give them another chance only to have my order messed up again. This time when I brought it to the man’s attention he began to argue with me about what I ordered instead of fixing what I said was wrong! He was very RUDE and very Disrespectful and unprofessional!! I asked for my money back and only got the price of the food and no tax back until I had to say something again! NEVER EVER will SHARKS in Tuscaloosa Al get another dime from me!! I wouldn’t want it if they told me it was free!! Unless you bring back the little Indian lady that was nice and polite and got my order correct!! I would not recommend this...
Read moreIt's been a while since I've eaten here, but I decided to give it a whirl since the location closest to my side of town opened back up. I was very much underwhelmed. At the other location (off 15th Street), I've been eating their fried rice combos. I think those are pretty good! At the Skyland location, I got a family fish meal and the Sharks Chicken Bites and side. First of all, the sign says chicken bites and 1 side for $5, but when you go in, the only side you are able to get is Fries. I had to pay an additional $4 to get okra because they wouldn't exchange it, despite what the sign says even for a slight upcharge. There fish dinner was also pretty lack luster. We got the tilapia, which was okay, but not good enough to have without sauce, which was gross. The ranch was extremely extremely watered down. That has to be there worst ranch and tarter sauce I've ever had. Has to be! It was like dipping my food in water. So gross! I've had Sharks before, fish included, so I'm not a newbie. I expected way more from this store upon reopening. I know they can do better. I've had better from them, but this was an epic fail for me...
