We ordered a chair for our nursery from Royal furniture in October. We were told it was on back order and would come around thanksgiving, which then got pushed back to Christmas Eve. About a week or two before Christmas, they called me to tell me my chair was at the warehouse and would be shipping to the store soon. Only to call me a few days later and tell me that it never was at the warehouse and wasn’t on the way yet. We then couldn’t get in touch with anyone about it for several days due to their system being hacked. When we finally did get someone, we were told the date for the chair to arrive at the warehouse was pushed back even more. When we called to get it resolved, they offered us the chair off the floor but it was a different color/material. The salesman, Kevin, sent some pictures of similar chairs they had and told me they were the same price. I thought the problem was resolved. He then called me back to tell me that the ones he had shown me actually cost significantly more than my original chair. He tried to work down the cost but it was still $150 + the warranty more than the one I ordered. He finally called a store in another state to try to get the original chair I had ordered off the floor of their store. We finally decided just to get a different chair from somewhere else. The one we got is nicer and we paid less for it, and it has a better warranty. After this we got the call that our chair was at the warehouse. Too late. Read moreWhere to start? Unfortunately, I started the arduous trek of trying to buy new furniture from the competition next door. I won't go into the long of it, but to make it short, after taking 6 weeks longer than I was originally told, and receiving damaged furniture that was delivered by the most unprofessional crew I've ever seen, I decided that I needed to take my business elsewhere. Enter Royal Furniture. Enter Saleswoman Melissa. My experience here was the complete opposite from my previous experience. Melissa helped us pick out a living room suite that we love, not to mention how much better the quality was. She told us about Royal's financing, which we chose to take advantage of; and finally she told us about the great extended warranties that they offer, that are well priced, and worth every penny. We told Melissa about our previous experience and she felt like she had to do something to rectify the situation, even though it was not her mess to clean. She excused herself for a moment and almost immediately reappeared with 2 bags full of the Lord's chicken, from the nearby Chick-fil-a. She served us a holy communion of chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, and amazing customer service. I was moved to tears and gave her the biggest hug. Let me describe this hug to you. It was like wrapping my arms around a ball of kittens made from sunshine. I almost divorced my wife right there on the spot. Melissa told me that would probably be a bad move. Read moreHorrible experience, awful customer service, inept systems. I don't do reviews but this place BUYER BEWARE! Bought a bedroom suite & dining room set. Upon delivery day, 4 chairs broke. They replaced it with a second bench and 2 chairs that didn't match, oh yeah the bench they replaced it with lasted 3 days before it came apart. Granted they finally replaced that bench. That wasn't even the problem, Part of the bedroom was delivered, The correct white headboard and the incorrect walnut footboard. Talking to the store manager Jeff he assured me "I'm looking on my computer now and the footboard and remaining pieces are on the truck and will be here next week." When it didn't arrive the excuses started, "I'm not in control of it", "it's backordered". I thought you saw it on your computer on the truck? Anyway, they offered us the floor models. Went in, checked out the floor models, yep we will have them delivered. They delivered today, HA of course not all of it. The delivery guy, "it says it supposed to be here?" We call Jeff, Jeff says "I requested, I don't know?" I called corporate office today ( I had already left messages and emailed over the past month no response.) Corporate says I will check and call you back. No call back, still don't have all my furniture, but ol Jeff says next week. No matter what special they are running, DON"T DO IT.
