Hot wok express — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

It’s a pretty new place. Although I cannot confirm, this seems to be a take-away only branch of a family restaurant that’s in other part of the town. I tried the hot chicken and honey chicken with fried rice. The hot chicken was pretty decent, and reminded me of some Indian flavors. The honey chicken was alright. The fried rice is somewhat unique, and I haven’t had this kind of rice elsewhere at any Chinese places. First time I got a dinner combo with teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli, fried rice, egg roll with order of crab lagoons. The drive thru attendant was friendly and efficient!! If I had gotten her name I would give her proper appreciation for being one of those pleasurable people you know enjoy what they are doing. The food is good, maybe slightly better than the competition in the area. I had the Mongolian beef, and it was tender and flavorful. Rice could be better, as there's not a lot of veggies/onions and no egg. Good price point for the portion size, though. It's reminiscent of the traditional mall food court takeout.
