This was our first time trying Eat Fantastic. We were eager to try a local burger spot. We usually go to In N Out but we didn’t want to wait in the long drive thru line. Plus this place is way closer to us.
The burger would’ve actually been good had our order not gotten messed up. For some reason a few simple modifications kept getting misunderstood. We asked for one double cheeseburger with no onions and another double cheeseburger with no onions and add bacon. The woman who took the order repeated the order back and asked if we wanted to a plain cheeseburger. We said no, we want all the condiments except for one with no onions, the other also with no onions and add bacon. This exchange went on a few times and we kept clarifying our order but she didn’t seem to understand.
When we got to the window, we clarified our order again. She said she would fix it. When we got home, we ended up with two plain cheeseburgers both with no onions except one had bacon and also a tomato. We wanted both burgers to everything except onions. Very disappointing because it didn’t really seem like we asked for a complicated order.
The burger was delicious otherwise, but wasn’t satisfied with our order at all.
Update: I like how the owner responded to every other review aside from mine. Apparently doesn’t care about poor service. Really disappointing since we spent close to $40 for 2 combos. You spend that much on a burger, you expect your order to be right or at least acknowledge...
Read moreEat Fantastic is a local place I found years too late! Their burgers are SUPER delicious and their fries as well! I always order through the drive through and not a single AI bot is to be heard! Just pleasant voices through REALLY nice speakers (no crackling! A miracle I tell you!).
I tried both their original and spicey chicken tenders and liked the original a bit more. I also like their shakes, although my mom wishes they were a bit thicker (personally I think they're fine!).
For the good quality of their burger they've kept their prices low despite inflation and I promise--after trying most of their burgers--they make the burgers REALLY well, everytime. I've yet to have a subpar burger there. Their fries are fine, but not my favorite (i like salty thin in-n-out fries, so it's not their fault).
Apparently people complain that they're charged for dips. Why? I dunno. A lot of them are specialty ones and they give you free ketchup.
Definitely give this place a try if you haven't! It's a great alternative with higher quality take out at prices McDonald's is currently charging you (with subpar fast food). And they have an...
Read moreMy original 4 star review is from when this was Johns Place. Since it's been converted into Fantastic Cafe, food has changed, prices way up, smaller portion sizes and over 2 years without having the dining room open due to renovations. Drive through only at this point. Not paying $15 for a drive through breakfast burrito that's worse than the ones that you used to get.
A perpetual favorite in the neighborhood. A standard Greek owned diner that serves a wide selection of food that is always really tasty. Good breakfast burritos and plates, sandwiches and burger lunch fare and dinner specials that are good. You can also get breakfast all day long which is a huge plus for my family. Not super gourmet, but salt of the Earth, tried and true, good food that will fill you up without breaking the bank. A place that easily becomes a standard in your eating routine.
FYI-UPDATE 9/2021- It looks like the business has been bought by the Fantastic Cafe group. You will see that now on your receipts and some of the logos. Nothing has changed food wise yet, same staff, maybe some new management. The manager I saw had the Fantastic Cafe...
