I recently visited Naan & Kabob in Tustin, California, and it has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. From the moment you arrive, the staff's attention is exceptional: always friendly, attentive, and dedicated to making your experience delightful. The food is simply outstanding! My favorite dish is combination number 42: Beef Shish and Boneless Chicken Kabob, which includes tender charbroiled beef chunks and boneless chicken thighs. Also ordered the soup instead of the salad! The quality and flavor of the meat are unbeatable, perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection. Another highlight of the menu is the special rice served with the dishes, known as Adas Polo. This vibrant yellow Persian rice is mixed with lentils, raisins, and dates, offering an amazing balance of sweet and savory flavors that pairs perfectly with the kabobs. The restaurant’s ambiance is cozy and ideal for a relaxed meal. While parking can be a bit limited, the culinary experience makes it well worth the visit. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy authentic Persian food with impeccable service, Naan & Kabob is an excellent choice. I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu. Highly recommended!

This restaurant absolutely exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The service was attentive and welcoming, the food quality was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. Everything I ordered tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentic — easily a 5/5 experience across the board. I tried both the Zafarani Combo and the House Combo, and they were outstanding. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, while the rice was fragrant and cooked to perfection. Each plate felt carefully prepared, and the presentation matched the quality of the flavors. The portions were generous enough to be very satisfying without compromising on quality. What impressed me most was the consistency — every bite was delicious, and it’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in their work. The Kabul plates and combination platters are a must-try, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again and again to taste more items on the menu. If you’re looking for authentic flavors, hearty portions, and a place that truly delivers on service and quality, this is the spot. I highly recommend it and would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

The food is good but they use dangerous Styrofoam - (polystyrene) containers for takeout. You can see in this pic where the container was damaged from hot food. This wasn't from microwaving. Styrofoam is banned in Europe, and it's becoming illegal in parts of the US. Styrene is a likely carcinogen (lymphoma and leukemia) and can leech into food when damaged by hot foods, which can be caused by microwaving or by placing hot food directly into the container. The container isn't microwave safe and there's no warning about it on the boxes, so it's super irresponsible to be using these. There's the environmental side of things too, since almost all Styrofoam ends up in landfills. It's 2023 and the only other place in recent memory that delivered food in Styrofoam to me was those very cheap fast Chinese food places. On another note, the provided sumac is weird and gets caught in my teeth. When I get it delivered, I use my own Sumac from Sadaf. On the plus side, it is cheaper than most other Persian places. I would gladly pay more for my meals here if they updated the packaging.

One of my favorite restaurants in Tustin for food taste and value. I really want them to succeed, which is why I gave them 5 stars... on potential. However, the owner needs some direct and honest feedback and needs to hear this.

I have eaten here at least once a week for the last three years and usually order the exact same thing. I also spent over $500 last week for my wife's birthday, because she loves it too. I'm not saying that to brag, but rather, to explain that given that history and vested interest in their continued success, I would hope that one or two people there might recognize me even slightly. Yet, I feel like the person from whom I order most often looks at me like he's never seen before and he definitely doesn't know who I am. I know that sounds conceited and self-centered, but having been in his position before, I know that regulars are not that hard to spot and we are the life-blood of any small business like Naan & Kabob.

The food quality had gotten less consistent and degraded slightly over the last year or so. This issue has mostly plagued the lamb and beef, but even this week's adas and cherry rice were a little off. I will say, however, that when I ordered the big catering meal, all the food was consistent and high-quality, which was what drew me in to Naan & Kabob so many years ago. It was obviously not the atmosphere or decor after all. :)

I realize the landlord is likely not too interested in improving the center, but an update to the restaurant interior a BV c. to!nd A/C would go a long way and maybe help offset the terrible strip...

Wow looking from outside it looks like a regular restaurant, after eating the food we were speechless. The best chicken kabobs, falafel sandwich ever. The food is freshly made for your order every time and the taste has the same consistency every time.

November 29, 2024 Here’s a revised review:

A Hidden Gem in Tustin – Nan & Kabob Delivers Perfection!

After seven years, I found myself back at Nan & Kabob, and it felt like a homecoming for my taste buds. From the outside, it may appear to be a regular restaurant, but step inside, and the culinary experience is extraordinary.

We ordered the Shirazi Salad, Chicken Koobideh, Chicken Kabob with Bones, and the Boneless Chicken Wrap, and every dish was a masterpiece. • The Shirazi Salad was refreshingly delightful, with crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, parsley, and onions, perfectly balanced with their house dressing and olive oil. • The Chicken Koobideh was juicy and flavorful, showcasing the art of freshly ground chicken breast cooked to perfection. • The Chicken Kabob with Bones had an irresistible smoky marinade, charbroiled to tender, juicy perfection. • The Boneless Chicken Wrap combined the tangy mayo and fresh Shirazi salad wrapped in Lavash bread—a burst of flavors in every bite!

The consistent quality and freshness of their food left us speechless. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. Nan & Kabob has set the bar incredibly high, and I’ll definitely be back...
