Nguyen Boba Tea — Restaurant in Tustin

I usually don't post negative reviews to businesses but I am so mad about my drink that it urged me to do this. And I mist say, out of all the Nguyen that I delightfully know, this is the only Nguyen that I don't like. Ugh. That sounds so hateful. Lol

I've been to this place before when they first opened, I remembered my experience to be amazing. So I was so excited to go back bec we are picking up pizza next door.

First off, I asked what is Crema? She looked at me like I'm stupid, "yeah, we make our own" yeah, but what is it? "Yeah it's our own!" So I just asked is it like Cream cheese foam kind of thing? She said no. But I doubt it's not, so I just proceeded with it bec I like that stuff. I wanted the Matcha Crema. I asked her is it iced? Bec if it is i was gonna ask for less ice, but she's like, do you want it blended? I'm like uhh sure. So whatever. So she charged me for a Matcha Blended ++ crema topping. All in all it turned out to 9 bucks after tip!

The drink was so bad, it was so watery bland. And then the crema topping was barely an inch thick on top!! I am so mad. 9$$$ for this stuff and so disappointed. The quality just went downhill and maybe...

My family and I went here and we ordered the Mango Milk Tea, Peach Smoothie, and Hawaiian Fruit Tea. Overall, I think the drinks were good, but this wouldn’t be one of my go-to boba places. The Mango Milk Tea was a little too sweet, and was ordered with half sweetness. I think there wasn’t a lot of mango flavor in the drink as well. The Peach Smoothie, I didn’t try, but my dad said it was too sweet and didn’t have a strong peach flavor. The Hawaiian Fruit Tea was refreshing and for anyone wondering, it’s grapefruit, orange, and pineapple (I’m pretty sure). So it tastes kind of like pog. All the greenery on the walls and everything made it very cute, clean, and modern. It would be a nice place to sit down for a while and hangout...

I requested a cold drink without ice, they gave me hot drink in that same cheap plastic cup and saying they can do nothing about it. I refuse to poison myself with micro plastics so I refuse the drink without refund. This place has no knowledge of we can't serve hot drinks in plastic containers that are designed to serve cold drinks and no offer to refund for that, will never come back. A cold drink without ice should be in room temperature, not hot.

Update: after I show the plastic no.1 is unsafe to use on hot water and food over Google search, the guy made me another cold fruit tea. So no need...
