Updated Review:
I went to Sake2Me for the fourth time this past Saturday. This time, I went with my family. We were a party of 6. 4 adults and 2 kids.
The wait was a little over an hour. It was longer than the Yelp app estimated when we first signed in, but I can wholeheartedly say the wait was totally worth it.
We all enjoyed every single thing we had. The food was on point. I highly recommend the 'I Love Salmon' and 'Sunkissed' rolls. They are by far mine and my family's favorites. They're seriously SO good! The lemon on top of them adds such a refreshing flavor. I highly, highly recommend them. Seriously, try them!
The service was good as always. I have absolutely zero complaints. Yes, the wait was long, but for the level of food and service we got, that hour plus wait was more than worth it, and I can't wait to go back for another round of AYCE. 🙌
No pictures were taken this last visit because we were all ravenous, so please enjoy these pics from my previous visits. 😅

I'm so happy another Sake 2 Me location has opened near me. It doesn't have everything the other Tustin location has, BUT it does have all you can eat, which is amazing!! It's also a much better price for all you can eat than other AYCE places nearby, so that alone makes it worth a try if you're on the fence.
I've now been to this location three times, and every time I've been there, I can honestly say I've left super satisfied. The service is and has always been great. The food has been nothing but amazing, and the staff is always beyond friendly and attentive.
If you get Kim as your server, consider yourself lucky. She is SO sweet, and even if she's not your server, she'll check in on you and make sure you're satisfied and doing okay. You can tell really cares and is seriously the sweetest.
Overall, I love this place and will be back for sure!
P.S. If there's any chance you could add the green goblin roll to your menu, it would be SO appreciated!! I love that roll at the other Tustin location and would love if the Newport location could get...

First timers here, but veterans in AYCE sushi. Should’ve known something was not right when noticing that all the sushi was being prepared in the kitchen, away from the public eye.
Arrived at 8:30pm on a Wednesday night. Not too busy and we were seated right away. Ordered within 10mins. Appetizers and miso soup started to trickle in around 10-15 min later. We didn’t want to eat all the appetizers though, as we knew we’d get full if we kept eating before even getting our first round of sushi. Little did we know, a lengthy waiting time soon began. We waited and waited and waited for our first round of sushi, but it just never came. We watched as countless plates of sushi orders were getting dropped off at all the other tables, except for ours. After 30 mins, we finally decide to ask our waitress about our order and she seemed just as confused as to why we didn’t get it yet. She went in the back to check and within 5 mins, we got our sushi. She apologized and said there was a mixup in orders, and offered free soda. We declined her offer since we don’t drink soda. Afterwards, our 2nd round came within minutes. We could tell they knew we were visibly upset. Then all of a sudden, they began doing last call, during our 2nd round. We got the check instead because our experience and appetite was ruined. Not to mention we were also charged full price for this meal. No discount or anything for wasting our time.
Food wise, sushi was super dry and oddly sliced. The escolar didn’t taste like escolar. The albacore looked like tuna. The spider roll was wrapped with the driest sushi rice and tiniest bits of soft shell crab. Probably the best thing I had was the ice cold water I chugged while waiting for the first round lol.
Sorry but we won’t be coming back. Tipped 15% only because I didn’t know who was at fault for this terrible experience, and our waitress seemed really apologetic.
No pics attached because nothing was even worth taking out...
