Starbucks — Restaurant in Tustin

I have never been treated so disrespectfully and belittled at any Starbucks in my life. I went in for my birthday because I received an email from Starbucks informing me of my free birthday drink so I was stoked and unfortunately chose this location. I waited in line and when I got to the front the girl already had an attitude so I was just kind and placed my order, when it was time to pay I let the girl know it was my birthday and I got an email bla bla bla. I opened my Starbucks app and my free drink was not showing up and I informed the barista and she said "I really don't know if it's your birthday but the app is not our problem". I looked at the app and looked at the girl and I said "so not only are you putting a damper on my birthday but you are insulting me and calling me a liar?!" And she said "look lady its 4.75 and we have nothing to do with the app". I am just so apauled at this girls behavior and lack of customer service I had to write a review. I am a huge customer service believer so it's a shame such a huge chain can pay an individual to be so nasty. Shame on you girl that was working at 11am on Saturday April 23. Convenient location right off the freeway. Parking is usually available, but it can get very busy at peak times. One perk here: curbside delivery during peak times, which is great in the rain or for moms with sleeping kids in the backseat. Fairly friendly staff, but they’re unprofessional at times and I’ve heard them argue about a drink order more than once. Not overly rude - they’ll fix it. But there’s some mild Star (rewards program) shaming here, an eye-roll coming, and they’ll let you know how you were a teeny bit wrong before they fix it.

I recently went in to just grab a coffee and was planning on relaxing at the coffee bar until it was time to pick my wife up from the airport. As I was relaxing and just minding my own business, I was greeted by one of the employees and told "umm sir, we're closed." I didn't make an issue of it because I'm not one for confrontation. But how are they closing when it's only 8pm??? I wanted to know for sure so I checked Google and the website says they close at 10pm. I will NEVER return here again and I truly hope the manager sees this because that is NOT good customer service.
