Wahoo's Fish Taco — Restaurant in Tustin

Usually I get good service here , but today was a disappointing experience with this location. I placed a pickup order through the main website, scheduling it an hour in advance to coincide with my break time. However, when I arrived to pick up my order, it wasn't ready until it was time for me to clock back in. Given the circumstances, I nicely asked the staff for a refund and explained to her that my break was over.

The issue for me was the older Latina woman with glasses who handled my request seemed put off and unhelpful. Despite my clear explanation and the online receipt instructions to contact the store in case of issues, she insisted that I needed to go through DoorDash for a refund – which was confusing, as I hadn't ordered through DoorDash. We went back and forth, and when I asked for the corporate number, she hung up on me.

I had to call back, and a younger staff member provided the corporate number. When I finally spoke with an agent, they apologized and processed the refund. They even mentioned that they were unsure why she insisted she couldn’t issue the refund when they were positive she could’ve handled the refund directly .

The experience was marred by unnecessary rudeness and inflexibility. If the staff member was too busy, a simple "call back later" would have sufficed. Unfortunately, this encounter left a sour taste, and I hope the store takes steps to improve their...

All the staff even a female manager couldn't take my order! It was strange the woman manager has been there for at least ten years, couldn't do it, I asked for a #2 two spicy fish tacos citrus slaw, one cheese and fish only, white rice, white beans no pico! And there was a special needs person behind me screaming! So we let her go ahead of us because they can't figure out how to customize my order, I've been going to Wahoos for 25 years and this location will close if you don't change management! I've been to so many Wahoos, never got this treatment before! I said how much are the tacos she said like $5 each and she even said it was a high price for one taco! She is basically ruining your business! I've been to Temecula, lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Tustin, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Anaheim Hills! I still and will continue to love you guys! The good, bad and the ugly Customer service was good; prompt & friendly, atmosphere was nice and relaxing, not crowded or noisy. No complaints there. Unfortunately, my biggest complaint is that the food was poor quality, and quantity was very scarce. I ordered one chicken enchilada w/green sauce. Barely any food. The chicken pieces inside the enchilada were appx 1/2" in diameter (and that's a generous estimate) - I barely tasted the 'chicken' in the enchilada. The green sauce was scarce & lacked any flavor at all. Will never order this again. My son's fish bowl looked good, and my daughter's spicy chicken...
