I had the worst experience here. I stood at the counter waiting ten minutes so I can request for them to remake my son’s order of Tokyo Fried Chicken; It was dry, chewy, burnt, and it looked like it had been sitting around for some time; It looked nothing like the advertisement. The manager, Joselyna T., told me that she could only give me a refund, because she can’t remake it; She said even if she were to remake the Tokyo fried chicken, it would still look the same as what I got and explained that’s how it’s supposed to look like. She said since I ordered a Tokyo fried chicken bowl, she needed my bowl of rice too, so I brought it up to the counter for her. Then after a long few minutes later, she says she can’t give me a full refund and that she could only refund me $2.84 (for the fried chicken only); She said she cannot refund me for the rice so she told me to take it back. I told her I don’t want the rice back with her saliva flying all over it ( I didn’t have a lid on it unfortunately.) She also said she refunded me $4.84, so I should be grateful for getting an extra $2 refund. She was very loud, rude and sarcastic. At this point, I was very unhappy and embarrassed with all this drama going on, right in front of the other customers. All I wanted was to have her remake my order of Tokyo fried chicken, but she shamed me and made it seem like I was in the wrong. I went back to my table and a few minutes later I hear her yelling, “Hey!” So I looked to see if she was talking to me. Yes she was. So I asked, “What?” She said loudly, “Come and get your trash!” I proceeded to walk up to the counter to grab the “trash” (she was referring to the chicken and bowl of rice I had brought up to return). She said, “We don’t want your trash.” Geez, she could have just thrown it out for me. Why did she have to make such a big scene?! I tossed it in the trash, angry and humiliated at this point. I proceeded to my table to finish my bowl of salmon which was already cold. Not to mention, there was a fly in the restaurant. Who knows if it got into my food while I was there at the counter with her. I went back to her to ask for their corporate number and her name, she laughed and smirked at me as she showed me her name tag and told me the corporate number is on my receipt! ( There was no corporate number on the receipt just an email.). As I was leaving, She said loudly and sarcastically “Have a great day!” I left the store very, very unhappy. So unprofessional. Bad customer service. I will never come back here again! I called Yoshinoya corporate and left them a voicemail message regarding this bad experience. Hopefully someone calls me back. No customer should have to deal with this crap service. Update No follow ups. No emails. No phone calls. I have been going to Yoshinoya for decades, but the food and service is not the same as it was. I am done...
Read more04/01/25 the bowls are smaller than ever. The large has the same amount or barely any more meat than the bowls. Make sure to get sauce on the side cuz they skimp on sauce too now. Service is fine but the value isn't there at all.
I've eaten yoshinoya growing up. their food is decent and relatively healthy. at one point they went from steamed veggies to some disgusting stewed green veggies but I'm glad to see they've gone back to steamed veggies.
This location is our go to for years. The store is clean and tidy, but the food service is very hit or miss. When it's a miss, they miss really hard. I picked up this online order, and it was completely missing the other half of the chicken details (skin, onion), and completely forgot to give me veggies. the portion sizes have also been getting smaller. if this is really supposed to be an xl, then don't bother paying the extra $1-2 for the xl. I had to go back once to get the veggies and the chicken fixed, and I really didn't feel like going back again to try to get an xl portion.
But other than that, imo always get the teriyaki sauce on the side. and ask for extra red ginger, the ginger is the real reason why we keep going back. and skip the brown rice; as unhealthy as white rice is, the brown here is just terrible.
**12/30 went again, checked my bowls, no veggies again. just check your order and make sure it's right before you leave.
5/21/24 3.5 stars, some of the customization options are gone from the website like skinless and sauce on side, but the deals are in the website now, and the quality of the brown rice has improved a lot, but I'm still getting random undercooked hard grains. the boba tea is not bad but lacking customization. portion size is not big compared to before, but what you get is decent. I'll probably skip the sweet and sour and ask for extra teriyaki sauce next time.
also, skip the app, order on the website. the app doesn't work,...
Read moreWhat happened to Yoshinoya?! I've been going to this Yoshinoya since I was little in the late 90's... and even until the 2010's it used to be the 'go-to' place for me to get a shredded beef bowl. Since Yoshinoya is unique in that sense, I still try my luck sometimes with it, but maybe I can try a different location.
This last time was another disappointment. I ordered from their app that I downloaded on my phone, and while there was no trouble with that, this last time, the beef was DRY and I ordered BROWN RICE but still got white. There's a $1.25 extra charge for the brown rice. I also ordered their Milk Boba Tea (their 'famous' Yoshi Tea) but it was a WATERED DOWN milk tea I feel I could've made myself if I just had the ingredients.
Not only that, but I asked if they were hiring and I turned in an application online and I never heard back from anyone there.
I wanted to get a REFUND for my gross, not fresh food, but the manager would not even give me a refund because he said I had to do it through the app. He said he was not able to do it on his own. So then, I go to the app and express my disatisfaction with my latest order. It's a good thing I used my 20% off coupon from the app, otherwise, I'd have probably paid more for food that I just ended up throwing away! Just drank the drink as much as I could, but the food went straight...
