The Basement Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Twinsburg

It was 70 minutes from our arrival until our food was brought to the table. That made for a very rough dinner for our family of five on a random Thursday arriving at 7:10 pm. The guests who arrived at the same time as us got their food only 10 minutes before we did, so it wasn't an order error. When I questioned our wait time the server said that an hour wait was typical. The floors inside were pretty cool looking, and the mirrored stage made for a dynamic interior. The deck overlooked the river except for the pick up trucks and motorcycles parked in front of it. The deck was very dirty. There were smokers on the deck, including our server which really bothered our kids. The menu offered a lot to select from. Our fries were flavorful, but the rest was just okay. 45 minutes into our wait we got the only high chair after another family left, and it had a broken seat belt and was dirty like it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks. I have been here many times and although service is slow I used to enjoy it. Until last night where my friends and I received the worst service I have ever seen. Me and my 2 friends tried to order a few beers, when the waitress took our IDs to the back for 10 minutes before coming back with our drinks. When we asked for another drink the waitress declined us and told us our IDs were fake, when they in-fact are 100% real. When asking why thinks that they are fake she replied “they don’t look real and you guys look 12” even though she already served us thinking they were fake. Instead of looking for logical solutions to let us prove they were real IDs she then became quiet rude and took another 20 minutes to get our bill. I’m not sure if I am more appalled that she wouldn’t serve and instead insult 21 years, or that she served us a beer while thinking our IDs were fake. Great place for a party! Hosted a party for just over 30 people. Planning was easy, Lauren was super helpful, answered lots of questions, made helpful suggestions, very communicative. Prices on catered food were great. Party room is beautiful, rustic wood and metal, clean, spacious, has hooks for decorating and tvs if you are into the game, sat 32 with tons of space in the middle. Food was on time, hot, served in hot-plate trays for self serve on a high-top table along the back, good quality, as promised. Staff was accommodating, helpful, kind. Cook checked in on us several times. Hostess was sweet, held doors, brought in a small high round table for cake, helped clear away dishes every so often, packed up food at the end, made it easy. We covered drinks via drink tickets our guests brought to a reserved section of the bar next to the party room, was quick, fluid.
