We ordered take out this week.
The person taking my order hung up on mistake. No big deal. We did get to order, they didn't offer all of the choices for the dishes we ordered (protein choices), also not a big deal. They were late from their projected completion time, still not a big deal.
But I had to call to get them to come to give us our order even though I was standing at the order window and employees walked by and didn't acknowledge my presence. They asked me to hold and they put the phone down and proceed to chop vegetables rather than help customers.
When we did get our order, I had to ask for utensils rather than them coming standard with the take out meal. No spoon for the soup. I was told it was thick enough. Then when we were miles down the road, we realized that it was someone else's meal. We went back and they barely apologized and were late in providing our actual meal.
It was the blandest Pad Thai I have ever had. There were exactly 2 seasonings on the Pad Thai, salt and chilis, no more. The hot and sour soup tasted like it had cigarette ash mixed in. Maybe that was payback for something we did? It was bland other than the ashes.
I know it is the only Asian restaurant within 25...
Read moreWe just order from Lily's for the first time. We placed our order at 4:03 PM, expecting much better food since it is suppose to be cooked up fresh since they open at 4 PM. The Orange Chicken was overcooked with no sauce. General Taos chicken had the spice correct but was over cooked and no sauce so it was very dry. The egg rolls were overcooked and it seems they used left over beef to make them. I had the special chicken with lemon grass that had great flavor but was super dry and no sauce. The Chicken Pho was served with Beef broth instead of Chicken Broth and it was too sweet for Pho Broth. The pot sitckers we ordered steamed and fried - there was no difference in these pot stickers. The chicken fried rice was actual jeweled rice with peas and carrots, which was not mentioned on the menu. The rice was mostly white so not sure what their definition is of fried rice. We also ordered a bubble tea which we never got. We spent 130.00 which included a 15% tip. Never again - there are better places in Duluth for Pho, Chinese, and Thai - AND they are...
Read moreWell we decided to try this place out as we just moved to town and were curious.... and we love Asian food! Prices were crazy high..... came to 104.00 bucks.... same exact meals in duluth are about 50 to 60 tops (we order this course often in duluth and superior). My wife and I figured oh well it's a small business, support is always a plus in these smaller towns.... brought the food home (a few blocks only) the egg rolls, fried rice, chicken in all dishes.... was burnt.... very noticeably burnt.... ruined the flavors in every dish.... and all the food was cold! Lomein noodles were thin spaghetti noodles,, not lomein noodles. Maybe Luke warm... and portions were small for Asian take-out... sadly a giant disappointment and waste of money. Also don't pay attention to the listed days or hours of operation as they never coincide. Skip this one if you're able. Maybe they just had a bad...
