Iām big⦠no.. Iām huge⦠HUGE on customer service! The world has lost the definition of the word āwelcomeā in todays society..
However, in a few bright spots in this s world you can still find its comfort⦠not having to search for it is such a delightful surprise that only exists in the heart and voiced through kindness.
Dutch Bros, you guys, your staff, at the west Grande location in Tyler Texas is an exemplary example of that hidden gem.
Earlier this week I ran into an associate taking orders in the cold, I failed to get her name, a tiny teenage red head with a flair for 70ās garments that took my order and held a conversation, in the cold, about my day.. she, in the windy cold, gave me a platform to tell her about my day while taking my order and it made me feel so important!
I returned later in the week with my dog in my jeep and a young man took my order via iPad and I had the same experience. He wanted to know about my day and once again I felt important.
I re-visited the same location today and was greeted by the same young man, I couldnāt resist asking his name, āSladeā he says, he immediately asked my name, once again, putting me at the forefront of the conversation.
The world, in service, could learn a ton of things from this staff.. Iām overwhelmed with how pleased I am with the kindness and thoughtfulness of the young team members you, Dutch Bros, have leading this store. Bravo!
Also, your coffee is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a long time Dutch Bros customer. I will most likely continue to be a customer. However, the location on Grande in Tyler is getting progressively worse. I ordered a Peaches and Cream Sweet Tea yesterday and they made it with green tea instead of sweet tea. These 2 ingredients don't taste even remotely the same. Now, occasionally mistakes happen. However, this is the 3rd time they have made the same mistake on this drink in the last month. There's always a line so if you don't take a drink before driving away then you either have to waste a bunch of time waiting in line to try and get it fixed or you're just stuck with the wrong drink you paid good money for. Yesterday the 2 baristas seemed more interesting in flirting with each other instead of helping customers and making drinks properly. This is a disappointment as in the past they have had almost stellar customer service. I'm not impressed with all the newer employees who obviously don't care about providing the same excellent customer service as the employees who have been there for a long time. Again, I will still go to Dutch Bros but I will probably also start giving more of my business to the smaller local coffee shops who care more about customers and making the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf youāre new to Dutch Bros, read the menu BEFOREHAND. š I went on a lazy Sunday morning and there was ONLY 2 other cars there ahead of me. Got to the menu, no one behind me, and an employee outside ran to my car and told me to, ātake this paper menu and pull forward because we need to move fast.ā Okay. Cool. Weāre rushing for the ghosts behind me in line, or? Got it. Get to the next side of the driveway, same employee runs back to my car, nobody in front of or behind me, and was immediately asked what I wanted to order. Sheesh, can I look at the menu first, sir??? Guy stood there looking at me while I was reading the menu and asking my child what she wanted to order. Still no cars behind me in line. I finally decide on our orders. Order and was told to pull forward to the window. Still no cars behind me. Get to the window to pick up and had to wait for it to be made. Despite being rushed to the window ābecause they have to move fast.ā š While waiting, I was asked a series of silly questions, Iām guessing to avoid awkward silence: Canes or Chick Fil A? If I could fly anywhere right now, where would I fly to? Finally get my coffee and itās just okay. Nothing to write home about. Think Iāll stick to...
