Chicken Express — Restaurant in Tyler

First, I LOVE Chicken Express, even order their Jess Hall Serendipity Seasoned Salt to use at home.........but the Old Jacksonville location is OFF my list, permanently! Sad, I really enjoyed going there over the last 10 years.......but they have a lady as a cashier now that is the RUDESS, most SULLEN thing I've ever seen in public! She glares at you when you walk in, if you ask "what comes with the special posted on their cash register" she very curtly answer "NOTHING" with a real attitude. When I was in the last time, I was looking up at the menu up above the cash register, trying to decide what I wanted.......she just walked off, went over to a table, got her purse off the shelf below, took something out (I couldn't see what she was doing because she had turned her back to me} and just left me standing there. A big young man on the food line saw what was happening and kept looking back and forth between us, I shrugged my shoulders and was about to walk out when he finally said something to her and she SAUNDERED back over and took my order, like I was HUGE interuption to her day! No smile, no "thank you" , no ANYTHING but SULLEN RUDNESS!

The other time I was in awhile back, she didn't even ask if I wanted a biscuit or a roll, just gave me something. Didn't ask if I wanted anything to drink, when she rang up the sale, I tried to hand her my cc, she just pointed to the little box on the other side of the cash register with a disgusted look on her face. The time before that, the same lady was leaning on the seat backs right in front of the cash register visiting with an obvious friend of hers that was sitting in that booth, never gave me a second look standing at the register until SHE got good and ready to stop her conversation and return to work.

The people that used to work there were friendly and professional, what happened? NO THANKS, I'll go elsewhere.......3 times of her in as many...

I called in a 9pcs gizzard meal order and told the guy I was 5mins away. The connection was terrible but he could hear me enough to make the order but had my name wrg. Thats no big deal but to have my food lukewarm is a BIG PROBLEM! They handed me the box and it didnt have any heat to it at all, so I pulled into parking space and it was terrible. I went back thu and told them, they gave me problems with remaking it BUT...THEY KNEW THIS WAS NOT COOKED FRESHED. I asked them to make sure it was HOT. The wait was not what I had time tor today, but I drove over this way and made the order as I was driving here. Im sitting here waiting in driveway for FRESH FOOD BUT IT SHD HAVE BEEN FRESH FROM THE CALL IN ORDER. I almost didn't come to this store. I let thr guy know I was giving them a 1 review. Wished I could have gave it a "0" for the food not the service. UPDATE... I concluded they didnt COOK them FULLY. I could NOT CHEW Over HALF of them. I took pics but cant post or attached it here. Idk...why This wasnt...

Okay I don't know who the front cashier was but she was awesome! Goodness, came in here at lunch and she is one of the nicest servers I know! I would come back just by her attitude alone! The food, however was fantastic, hot, made to order and filled me up. You cannot go wrong coming here for a quick bite. And they have variety. Way to go for whoever hired her!

Of course then there is today. I won't knock off stars, food was great, but cashier came up leaned on the register and just looked at me. Then she said what do you want. Fine, everyone has a bad day. Went to pay and she goes and my tip. Look, I have no problems tipping, or people having a bad day. But when someone else comes up, I won't mention race here, but sweet as pie. I want the other cashier in my first review. The food was great, everything was clean, etc. I was going to go to place next door but came here. Tomorrow I will go to other place. I'll be back to test waters again, but I am going...
