Although I’ve had quite a few things from Los antojitos by Maria, I’ve never once been disappointed.
Yesterday was no exception. Everything I tried was absolutely perfect❤️
I saw a post from her page and it’s initially what caught my eye. 1 drink in particular (the 1 shown below). I don’t know the name of it or exactly how to describe it, other than it being one of the best shakes I’ve ever had.
I also saw another post from her page about pupusas. They just happen to be one of my favorite things to eat and I’ve never tried theirs. I’m so glad I did. They were also some of the best I’ve ever had. They were massive and perfectly cooked. I ordered 1 of each flavor. Chicharron, pollo, and tinga. All 3 were uniquely delicious. I highly recommend using the green or red sauce as well.
I even ordered some elote en vaso/esquites/whatever you want to call it. It was heavenly😍.
This place always get a 10 out of 10 from me for the quality, quantity, and amazing service.
Y’all go see Maria Vega and find out what amazing creations she has or is coming up with.
One thing I wanted to add. I showed up right around 7:45pm. Keep in mind they close at 8pm. I typically never like showing up that close to closing. I asked them if they were putting everything up and the girl up front politely told me that they would still gladly serve me. The best part is, 3 more families walked in after 8:15 and Maria and her crew still served them with a smile. That is what I call...
Read moreWent on 1.12.24. It's connected to Ruby's, physically. I liked the idea of trying some consommé, and you could get it with chicken flautas. For some reason, the staffer mentioned I might also be able to get consommé with potato tacos. I'm trying to be more veggie, so this was great. She double-checked with the kitchen, and that's what I ordered. Total after tax was $11.90. The woman who brought my dish was also very friendly and sweet, but I think she's still practicing her English. Just to say this place is authentic, lol, and I need to make sure I speak slowly/clearly/written/Google Translate.
This place is pretty new, and I like supporting the mom-and-pops. It's hard running a restaurant, esp. in winter. Check them out! Also, a board-game shop just opened a couple doors down....
Read moreI got the mazapán milkshake and churro cheesecake bites with granola, caramel sauce and pecan ice cream on the side. Absolutely phenomenal! The whole time I’m at home eating the bites I keep saying, “This is so freaking good. Oh my god.” Also, I love the way they make their milkshakes. Perfection.
I would share pictures, but I went to town on those snacks, not gonna lie. The presentation was great though. I’m definitely coming back.. I can’t believe I waited so long to try it out. I already told my husband and mom, “This is where I want to go for my birthday!” Which is just a...
