I hate saying it, but this place is below average. I’ve had to order for someone else three weeks in a row and I get chewed out every time because items are left out, the order isn’t as requested, etc. I’ve been very clear when ordering carry out and the guy at the counter repeats it back perfectly. I guess whoever preps the order isn’t paying attention? Each time items are left out, my bad for not checking before I leave. I just don’t have time for that and it isn’t my job to perfect the order. Since when did fajitas come with about a pound of onions and two slivers of pepper? Requested light onions, got half a pound of onion with a couple pepper slivers. Definitely overpriced. Don’t bother with the fajitas for two special on Wednesdays. Just don’t. Either the online menu needs a serious update or whoever puts together the order needs more training.
Returned today, 01-13-23. Neglected to check the rather large order I placed before leaving and that was a mistake. Everything was crammed into one bag, spilling out inside the plastic. Anyway, items were missing. I spent nearly $100 total including what I spent when I decided to order a drink while waiting.
Chips and salsa were brought to the table, couldn’t eat the salsa because there was a piece of soggy tortilla chip in it. I have no idea if it was someone else’s leftovers or just spillover.
I called the restaurant to tell them I was coming back for my items. The same girl has answered the phone before, she picks up and finishes her conversation with whoever she’s talking to. She’s rude every time I’ve had to deal with her. Posado’s would do well to be more careful choosing who represents front of house. When I approached the register, she was too busy counting tips she had no business digging into. When she finished she moseyed off as slow as possible, no sense of urgency and even though I called ahead and said I was on my way back, it wasn’t ready when I got there. I don’t know what’s up with the takeout crew, but this is not the first time I’ve been missing items. Always check takeout orders.
Another issue is that one item was requested with a particular ingredient on the side. It was on the side, but didn’t start that way. There was a large piece of the requested side item in the main part of the dish. Simple instructions, really.
As I was leaving, I saw another customer exit their vehicle after checking their takeout. Posado’s needs to not only get it together, but an attitude overhaul would be ideal. Same **,...
Read moreI could never have imagined….. I decided to take my mother to lunch while I was in town. Huge mistake. We had the most hostile hostess I have ever encountered. No greeting. She just barked, “2 adult, 1 child” and proceeded to lead us to the back of the restaurant. When my mother asked why we were going to the back of the restaurant the hostess said, it’s because we have rotations.” My mother told the hostess she doesn’t like sitting at the back of the restaurant and asked what was wrong with the booth up front. The hostess then snapped, “that’s all you had to say.” At this point I have decided that I needed a manager. Once we got to the table the hostess slapped 3 menus and 3 sets of silverware on the table and proceeded to tell us what we needed to do next time. Which of course added frustration to the already hostile situation. I requested a manager and the hostess was more than excited to do so. We have now decided that we would not be eating there. I still wanted to speak with management because honestly couldn’t believe this was happening to me and my family. I saw the manager and the hostess speaking so I approached to explain. As I started to speak the hostile hostess interrupted. The manager and I both cut her off. I began to explain and HE apologized. And asked where we wanted to sit. As asked for an apology from the hostess which the manager declined. I explained that his apology was not sufficient as it should come from the hostess who harassed, embarrassed and disrespected my family in this public establishment. He declined again and it became apparent why the hostess was so excited to go and get the manager. It was behavior that he obviously supported. He continued to allow her to serve customers which lead to the hostess coming back to our personal space and starting a verbal altercation with my daughter, taunting her to “ do something”. All while “escorting” another customer to their seat. I explained that I felt this was racially motivated because we didn’t know this hostess, had never seen her in our lives. And this treatment started from the beginning. The manager told me I was “making that up” and told me not to “go there.”. I am not making any of this up. This actually happened to me and my family today at Posadas on 5th Street. I am hurt, embarrassed, traumatized and disgusted. My party included a 3 year old and and a senior citizen. Patronize at...
Read moreThis place used to be our go to restaurant for all things Mexican food. The key word here is "used to". As of a few weeks ago everything has changed and NOT for the better. Maybe better for their bottom line but definitely not better for the customer. First clue was we sat there for 10 minutes before anyone approached us. The waiter that finally did make an appearance said he wasn't aware that we had been sat at his table even though he had walked by us a dozen times. Second clue...previously when you ordered chicken enchiladas your order would arrive with so much food on your plate that you literally couldn't see the plate. Now the portions are so small the rice doesn't touch the beans, the beans don't touch the enchiladas, and the sour cream sauce only touches the enchiladas because it is literally a spoonful poured on top. If you ask for extra sauce you are informed that it will cost you extra. Speaking of extra cost, the wonderful sopapias that have ALWAYS been complimentary are no longer complimentary, these too will cost you extra. Third clue.... the hot handmade wonderful tortillas are now the size of your child's hand and resemble miniature pita bread. They are literally 1/4 inch think, 5 inch round, soft, gooey, hot messes of flour. Our bill for 2 dinners WITHOUT alcohol.....$50 bucks including tip, EXCLUDING sopapias! But the worst was the employee that brought our food out....his fingernails were filthy. I'm so sad that this restaurant has lost sight of its customer, RIP Posados. You will be missed! One more thing, we had a small child run up to our table soliciting $10 donations for her dance group. Then she began questioning what we had on our table that we were eating, making faces as to indicate that our choices would not have been her choices. I get that she was only about 7, but we were there to eat Sunday dinner. It was disturbing to be solicited by a child wearing more makeup than a model. Ruby red lipstick people on a 7 year old turned loose to solicite money from strangers. Bad bad parenting! Bad bad managers to allow their customers to be ambushed like this! Btw...the guy bringing chips and having to bus tables was the only person that was doing his job well. I wish my tip had...
