Cupspops Korean BBQ Restaurant — Restaurant in Tysons

This little "fast casual" Korean BBQ in a bowl place was awesome. It sits in the shopping center in front of Walmart in Tysons, and was empty when we went in. Easy to understand menu with a choice of base, free add-ons, paid add-ons (very reasonable prices), and sauces. You could mix and match sauces if you wanted, I got the Ssamjang (sp?) and Yum Yum sauce together, and I was very happy. Excellent portion size, great flavor, great value. The owners were there serving and were very nice and receptive to feedback. They told me if anything wasn't up to my standards, that they would gladly remake it for me. My son and I stopped in today and what a pleasant surprise. The food is absolutely delicious. I am so glad we decided to try a new place. I had the spicy chicken and he had the bulgogi bowl. Both were very tasty, the dumplings were delicious and the fried chicken was excellent. Also had a chance to talk to the owners son about the concept and restaurant itself, very nice family owned place. He was very patient explaining everything to us and steered us in the right direction on what to order (i have a picky eater with me haha) Definitely give this place a try if you get a chance, you won't be disappointed. My only experience with Korean fried chicken has been Bon Chon and Chi Mc Chicken And Beer, so I was expecting something similar, and it wasn't even close to being similar. So it was quite the disappointment for me. I see all the 5 star reviews, maybe its supposed to taste very different than other Korean fried chicken places I've been to, but I personally don't like the flavor of this style, and prefer the Bon Chon style instead. So if you're wanting the Bon Chon style fried chicken, then I would recommend you don't try this, but if you want to try something COMPLETELY different then give it a try, looks like many...
