What a lovely place! Think small town diner with big time heart. My mom, sister, and I were so impressed we ate here twice for breakfast on our trip through Napa! I have celiac and they were very accommodating. My sister has a serious shellfish allergy (and in California it's darn near impossible to avoid a seafood laden menu and concerns for cross contaminations), but this diner was completely safe for her š
I had read reviews on a travel website about gluten free pancakes and waffles so naturally I was very intrigued. BUT before you get too excited let me break it down: they can do pancakes in a separate pan if they're not too busy (as everything is normally cooked on one large grill), waffles are not safe for celiac as it's a shared iron, french toast is also out as they dip all bread in the same batter.
The first morning here was wonderful, they brought out huge, yummy, SAFE pancakes for me shortly after my family's food was delivered. Day two was a little rougher, they brought out regular pancakes and thankfully I noticed something was off (they told me upon ordering they could top it with blueberries but not put them inside and the pancakes delivered had blueberries in them) when I alerted the waitress they fixed the issue and advised the kitchen it needed to be made in a separate pan and I'm happy to say no sickness or reactions here!
With that being said, I was very pleased with my pancakes and the friendly service we received here. If you have no food allergies, (YAY š) I would still recommend this cafe as the service is so wonderful and portions are generous (even for California prices)....
Read moreBusy Sunday, but appeared to be plenty of staff. We were seated quickly but waited about 10 minutes to get menus. Couldn't get anyone to even glance our way for that long. 1 min after getting the menus, a waitress asked for our order. I had to say we just got the menu and need a minute. Some time after we had ordered, a large group came in, and plates started showing up at their table within minutes. We still had nothing, and staff walked these other people's plates right by us, one after another, without saying anything. After a while, a staff member came and asked how we were doing, lol. We were like, um, well, it'd be nice if we had some food....They were sweet and said, "Oh, sorry!" Then, several more min waiting, and 2 of 4 of our plates came out. It took another 10 minutes for the other plates to arrive! "Home Fries" were "home lightly sautéed" wettish potatoes, not fried at all. Almost inedible. My over medium eggs had runny WHITES. Sausage was decent, French toast pretty good. Chicken tenders were formed & pressed meat like fast food. One good thing, the lady serving coffee was on her game, and we got as many refills as we wanted. Kind staff, and maybe it was an off day, but it's not cheap to take your family out to eat these days, so it hurts when you feel you wasted your money. I tried to find a website to email all this privately, but there was none. I like to give feedback directly when possible. Hope this gets to the folks who can...

She ordered the eggs over medium and recieved over easy. Sent them back for more cooking. They returned properly cooked. With one ice tea our bill was $27.50. little pricey we thought and no better than other restaurants but good and we enjoyed our breakfast. Service was fast and we where seated right away. One person kept our drinks filled at all times. 5 rating for service and food but a 4 overall for proper cooking of eggs and the price overall.
