I needed a platter of subs catered for a party and decided to go with Cioffi's because they offered a vegetarian option. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed and would NOT recommend going here for sub sandwiches. I called the number listed and was directed to a woman in charge of catering. I explained that I wanted a variety of subs to serve approx. 25 people. We settled on a mix of turkey, Italian, roast beef, grilled veggie & chicken cutlet subs. The woman said it would come with all necessary condiments, which it did. Before we ended our call, I explained again that it should serve 25 people, but should probably be more pieces than that, "about 40 pieces should be good," I said. She said, "Yes, I'll tell the guys making them it's for 25 people and they'll know how many to put." I said okay. I ended up with about 2.5 times what I wanted. They made three platters, each with about 25 pieces. I urged my guests to take more, and I STILL ended up with 1.5 platters untouched. A waste and NOT what we agreed upon. Beyond the quantity Cioffi's pushed on me, the quality was extremely disappointing. The rolls used were dry and sub par. What you'd expect in a hospital cafeteria, not an Italian restaurant. Further, the meat and veggies put on each sub were stingyyy. Some had one or two pathetic looking slices. Again, not what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant/deli boasting sub platters as part of their catering. This utterly disappointing venture cost me $193. Exorbitantly high for the product I received. I felt they capitalized on my order, because in no way was this an appropriate amount of sandwiches...
Read moreComfort on a plate! With delicious classic Italian dishes and specials, excellent cannolis, a full bar, and warm family feels, you're in for a treat! Growing up on their homemade dishes like veal and eggplant parm, manicotti, and pizza spoiled me and set certain standards for life. Though I hadn't been here in over 25 years, their quality remains the same! Last week, I enjoyed a really lovely dinner with my best friend. We toasted with glasses of merlot and pinot grigio then split a perfectly dressed and scrumptious salad on their Specials Menu that had goat cheese, tangerines, and dried cranberries. For entrees, my friend savored her Eggplant Parm while I super loved my Triple Ravioli special of three types filled with shrimp, cheese, and spinach. (Leftovers reheated well the next day.) Then for dessert, their Carrot Cake was exactly what I expected, but better and then holy cannoli! Their huge yummy Cannolis come filled with a thick, creamy classic ricotta filling with chocolate chips and are worth ordering by themselves. From start to finish, Cioffi's is an amazing experience!
NOTES/TIPS: **They have a cozy dining room and separate space and entrance for pizza take out. They have also have a separate banquet room that can hold about 30 people. **7 or so parking spots in a small lot, high turnover....
Read moreToday is Friday January 27 ,2023 at 5:17pm and I just received my order from Cioffis and it’s horrible!!! We asked for the order to be sealed to ensure the food was fresh and untampered with and it came in a box with nothing sealed. Which means anyone could open the food and do whatever they wanted to it. And we are supposed to eat it in today’s society with viruses going around. I called and spoke to the Manager and he hung up on me. At first I thought it was a mistake but when no one called me back I knew that he had hung up. This was my 2nd time giving this restaurant a chance as this has happened in the past. I will seek to report them as well to the Board of Health because it is not safe. I paid close to $90 in food and there was no way to seal it per my request?? NEVER AGAIN and I am telling everyone I know not to support your establishment as well. Look at this picture. Simply disgusting regard for customer safety and...
