Fat Sam's — Restaurant in Union

I can't believe that I haven't visited fat sam's before now. But I am so glad that I did.

I had the fried fish basket. It was $8 and included 2 pieces of flounder, fries, hush puppies and a drink, which is a bargain, because I have half of it left over for dinner. My husband had a BLT basket that includes fries and a drink, and my dogs had the chicken strips, which appeared to be fresh, and I also got a cheeseburger for all of us to try. None of us was disappointed, the food was so good.

I went there at about 11, I ordered at the window outside, and the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The women were friendly, the place was immaculately clean and I will be going back this week. They are open until 2 p.m., and I can't wait to try the breakfast, I think that it's available all day.

The fish basket is the most expensive thing on the menu, most of the baskets are around 6 bucks, which is a really good deal. I highly recommend fat sam's for good...

Was a bright ray of sunshine on a dreary day for me, went in hungry and not knowing what to expect. Ordered a new York strip steak(well done), a baked sweet potato, with broccoli and cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly first try, it was the easiest cut new York strip that I've had at any resturant, perfect flavor and juicy with just a slightest tinge of pink that you would only notice if you're as ocd as me lol. My meal was served with 2 rolls accompanied by a compound butter with a wonderful balance of cinnamon and honey. The baked sweet potato was perfect, but I think I'm going to skip the fake nacho cheese on the broccoli next time. I got the Philly cheese basket. One of the best ive ever had. Everything was cooked to order. Had to let it cool a min just to eat. Cooked to profection. Also had delicious homemade lemonade. So much food We could not come close to finshing. Also the main reason was the price. Cheepest in town to eat. And the survice TOP NOTCH! Even though they were a little busy everyone that worked there came to check on us, even the cook. Trust me give this place a try. I dont know the owner but his crew does a great job.
