5 Stars – A Delicious First Taste!

While I haven’t yet had the chance to dine at The Pickled Chef’s main location in the Latrobe 30 Plaza, I did get to sample their food at the Ligonier Country Market, and it was excellent. I tried the classic grilled cheese with house dill pickle relish and the bacon grilled cheese with apple maple bacon and bourbon jam from their mobile unit. Both were absolutely delicious, perfectly grilled, rich, and full of flavor. Based on that experience alone, they’ve earned five stars from me. I’m looking forward to visiting the actual restaurant soon and will update my review after I do!

I did stop by their physical location but was only able to snap a few photos of the exterior, as they were unfortunately closed...

We have supported this business for the past few years and loved them until the last 6 months. The bigger they get, the more inconsistent their service has bee which is ashame because we love supporting Ma & Pa places. We called at 3:30 with a question about what they were serving. that day. My husband has been craving a good reuben. Well we happened to be in the same strip mall plaza and drove over, probably took 2 minutes from the time we called. When he got there, their doors were locked! They said they decided to close early and this isn't the first time that we had issues with the information they provided us with or...

Stopped here while staying in the area visiting family. We were very surprised to find such an awesome restaurant in Latrobe. The grilled cheese sandwiches were cooked to perfection and the pickle fries were straight out of a county fair. The owners were very friendly and seem very passionate about their business, which shows through in their food. I highly recommend at least giving this place a chance if you love a good grilled cheese. We will be visiting again the next time we're back...
