Chester's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Universal City

I don't normally write reviews however our customer experience wasn't all that great. The food was alright and it didn't live up to its expectations the sign outside gave us. The three people at the front Ivian, Levi, & Frankie were all so great and are probably the only reason for the stars. Ivian had great customer service and was patient and helpful with how he was training. We got our burgers and realized that our Greenchile burger was missing green chile and the added bacon. I had my boyfriend take it up to let them know. Levi apologized and helped us and took the burger to the gentleman at the grill. He stormed to the fridge grabbed a cup of green chile and tossed it onto the counter at my boyfriend and said "there". Levi stood there with the burger and said its still missing bacon. He grabbed the top bun and opened the burger and turned around grabbing the bacon with his gloved hand and angrily put it on the burger before closing it and giving it back. We both were upset and didn't want to ask for anything else in regards to customer service. My burger was also incorrect but I didnt bother going up after that. I didnt see a nametag on top of his apron but he did have a tattoo on his neck. Also no one there that works the grill seems to change gloves. They touch the refrigerator doors, the microphone, and other things around them and go straight back to touching the bacon and other foods. We first noticed when he grabbed the green chile cup from the refrigerator and then right after grabbed the bun and bacon to my boyfeiends burger. We didnt finish our meals. We have both worked in customer service, food, and retail for years and and don't seem to understand why our experience was this way which is why I wouldn't...

My family and I decided to grab dinner last night and we chose to try Chesters for the first time. We sat outside in their covered patio to enjoy our food . Shortly after we sat down, the staff decided to pick up all the chairs that were behind us and started putting them on the tables. Now this place closes at nine and we were eating at 830 pm, so why would these inconsiderate employees start doing this? I thought it was very rude because they made us feel like we needed to hurry up and get out of their way. I understand that they have a job to do, but at least wait until YOUR customers finish eating. The staff was rude, laughed when I asked for them to at least wait till we were done. My family could barely hear each others conversation with all the chair and table arrangements the staff was doing. What’s worse is that the manager refused to give me her name and told us that it was mandatory to do what the staff was doing and that we could find somewhere else to eat. I was appalled by her lack of customer service skills. If Chesters doesn’t want to lose more customers they need a new manager. There are so many places to eat in San Antonio and we had the worst dining experience that I can ever remember. The worst part is we blew 50 dollars and didn’t finish our food because this manager and her immature staff were making us feel unwelcome and rushed. Big'z is Better. We have never been here before just visiting and heard so many good things about it so we get in didn't have to wait so limited time looking at the menu. Oh and no website to look at a menu before going. We both order a bacon burger and the guy taking our order asks if we want everything on it and I did but my wife didn't he rolls his eyes cause he had to rewrite the ticket. Then we both wanted something to drink I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a the real sangria. He then says as opposed to the other sangria. THE BOTTLE SAYS "REAL SANGRIA" she was just trying to make sure he grab the correct one. He then asks for my ID i gave him my state ID and he said he can't accept my out of state ID. He then said I could use a military ID which is not something I just show off not everyone respects us the same way. So I asked him what if i didn't have a military ID I don't drink he said yes I said that sucks and he said well for you it does. Then my wife hand her's to him and says well you live here you should have one. I wanted to sock him in his stupid smart a** Texas face. We were visiting this god forsaken state. I walked away before I did something that would get me arrested. I just hate ignorant fast food employees that treat me like a ignorant fast food employee.
