Benny’s Tacos — Restaurant in Universal City

Fist of all, no receipt is ever given to us here..no itemized receipt so thats a strike..anyway, I used to love getting food from here.. my kids loved it as well and my husband and I.. but recently they started messing up our orders and forgetting some of our things we would order.. yesterday morning was the cherry on top.. we went thru the drive thru and placed an order for 8 tacos.. 4 of those tacos were barbacoa tacos.. the 4 barbacoa tacos were missing.. we didn't realize it until we got home, in Marion, which is a bit far for us... Barbacoa tacos are $3.99 each so if you do the math, that's about $16, not including the tax which is a lot more... it's not fair because economy is terrible right now and it feels like we are getting robbed of the little money that we have.. please fix this before more people complain about it.. it's very disappointing.. we will not be going back...

Gave this restaurant another chance and boy am I glad we did! I went with my dad around 11:15am Sat Oct 25th. It wasn’t busy busy, but there was definitely a steady stream of customers. We got a booth immediately and our wonderful waitress was there in under a minute. We gave our drink order (coffee and sweet tea) and were ready to.order by the time she brought them to us. My dad ordered a breakfast plate with Mexican eggs, potatoes, and beans, while.i ordered a bacon, egg, potato, and cheese taco. It came out very quick. The kitchen did forget the cheese on my taco, but out server immediately brought a little bowl of cheese to the table for me. I would up only eating half my taco so I wrapped the rest to take home. My dad nearly cleaned his plate! We paid (under $20 total) and i left a $10 cash tip (IYKYK). We absolutely will be back and will request her as out...

I’ve been coming here for some time now so, it hurts to even write this review. The food has always been incredible and great friendly service but today they messed up our order twice and seemed very off. They brought me someone else’s order which I corrected them, and then getting home only to realize we are missing 3 tacos, 2 of which were for my child.

The El Pastor tacos which are the reason we started coming here we’re literally half the size they typically are. I called in to ask for a refund for the missing tacos to which I find out they can only do cash back for the order.

I never went back for my refund as I didn’t want to spend more time and gas.

After some thought and consideration I would like to believe they can improve on their process and hopefully give them another chance. Just not...
