El Rincón Criollo Caribbean Food — Restaurant in Universal City

I would definitely NOT recommend this location at all! STAY AWAY!! The food is not seasoned traditionally, it is very plain and it was not very tasty at all. The pernill was lacking in flavor and presentation. I was there with 3 others and all had issues with their food. One of my friends steak looked like something out of a frozen dinner box and another friend never got their food. He waited over an hour and they never brought his sandwich just when everyone finished eating. Also beware if you request water they will charge you for a bottle water without advising you. The customer service was completely HORRIBLE!!! The guy serving us had a serious attitude with other patrons and us as well. He told my friend patience is an important thing in life very sarcastically because he didnt take the Cuban sandwich after waiting an hour for it. The place need to fix few things, steak with onions isn’t what you getting it is patty frozen for 11.99 I want the real steak. The pork with rice it was little better but need seasoning the rice wasn’t prepare the way puertoriqueños do. I do recommend sandwich cubano it is good. About the prices I think little high. The place need cleaning but I have to say bathroom was clean and that is plus. The door front it was open , at noon time , if I want heat I can sit down outside and eat. About customer service they really need to work on that . This second time I have go there and the owner and his wife having disagreements and everyone there can heard them. No professional are all . This place is a little hole in the wall cross the street from McDonald on Pat Booker Road near Randolph Air Force Base I found it by accident I was getting ice and I heard the music then I drove by and then I fell in love it's a little mom-and-pop shop Puerto Rican and Dominican and the food ie D for delicious I'm satisfied every time it's always made fresh and they're not stingy with the portions like some of the places in San Antonio that try to pass for fine dining an are all about the money this spot will leave you with your belly full and your heart Happy I love this place it's my favorite...
