I initially came during the opening weekend, but it was so crowded that I left. Came back a few weeks later during the week to avoid the crowds. It was about 6:30p and there were only a few people on the outside patio with their kids and pets, few people at the bar, and a few people at the inside tables. Everyone was very welcoming and asked if it was my first time so they could answer any questions. Staff at the register were helpful in explaining the different beers and offering to sample any beers.
Since it was my first time, wanted to try a little bit of everything. For the drinks, ordered the Takes Two to Mango, Downtown Gather Brown, Cold Front Quad, and Deep Ellum Blind Lemon with the fruit flavorings. For the food, ordered the Splcy Korean Wings, Gather Fries, German Soft Pretzel, Korean Brisket Tacos, and Belgian Liege Waffle for dessert. The drinks were poured within a minute and picked up at the bar. The food took about 15 minutes and they said would text when it's ready to be picked up at the kitchen window. I guess it was slow enough, so they brough the food to my table. The drinks were great with each of the beers having a rich, deep, and unique taste. The seltzer with the fruit flavors was also good, but got progressively sweeter towards the bottom.
The food was great and much better than expected at a brewpub. I enjoyed the fusion or Korean influence on many of the dishes. The wings were very crispy with a nice glaze, but not that spicy. Fries were good and unique in they were wedge-shaped, but cut very thin. Tacos were made with juicy brisket and Korean sauces. Pretzel was very soft and each different dip gave it a unique twist. Lastly, I surprisingly enjoyed the waffle dessert as I was hesitant about the candied bacon. However, it gave it a nice texture to complement the soft waffle and offset the sweet ice cream. I'll definitely come back to try more of their beers and other menu items. Great food, drinks, and...
Read moreOof, I really wanted to love this place but I just didn't. The food is okay. Brussel sprouts, a step up from that. I mean, at least the food wasn't terrible, but for how incredibly expensive it was, I would have liked to be blown away. I mean, a small bottle of root beer $4? Come on. My daughter's dragon fruit drink tasted like it came straight out of a vitamin water bottle. $3.50 for a small cup. Yikes. The brisket pizza was alright, feeds maybe 2 people. $20 was steep. My daughter seemed to love her wings, 6 for $15. More than $2 a wing is crazy. My husband's cod was flavorless and served without tartar. Who serves fish without tartar? I had an a la carte order of brisket. It was tender, but flavorless. I also had grilled chicken breast and got garlic truffle aoili (I can't spell that one) for dipping and I'm sorry, but that was just straight mayonnaise. I tasted nothing else. Another .75. Not a huge deal, but just mayonnaise come on... my husband, who loves all beer, hated his. It was some sort of beer with chamoy and tajin around the rim and he said it was just so gross. My son liked his chicken strips and everyone said the pretzel was good.
For service.... well, you place the order and pay by scanning a QR code on the table. It's cool, I didn't mind. They line your drinks up on their window for you to come grab. Someone will bring your order to you. That's it. No one comes to offer refills, no one inputs your order or collects the bill. None of the people-y stuff. The check still defaults to a 20% tip. That's wild. That's not 20% work, I'm sorry. The lowest tip amount of 18% or you can enter a custom amount. Ya'll are nuts. No way.
The atmosphere was nice. Would have been even better with some live music. That would have made the bill easier to swallow.
All in all, an almost $200 bill for the five of us tonight for sup par hippie dippie food. Well, it shouldn't be rocket science why restaurants...

They have plenty of seating inside and a nice outdoor seating area. The ambiance of the patio is just perfect. Half covered and half in the sun, it's an ideal setting for any occasion, whether you're looking to soak up some rays or stay cool in the shade. It’s also pet and kid friendly.
The food: They have quite a few Korean inspired fusion options, such as the loaded kimchi fries topped with tasty brisket, mayo, beer cheese and (of course) kimchi. I didn’t think I was a kimchi fan before, but OMG, the combination of these flavors are the bomb diggity – this is my favorite item on their menu. My second favorite is the Korean tacos. They are topped with a creamy sweet sauce, with just a bit of tartness. These are sooo good.
They also offer a decent selection of traditional food fare, such as juicy burgers, pizza, and chicken sandwiches. Bottom line is, there is something for everyone at this family friendly joint.
Let’s not forget the beers – they have a little bit of something for everyone here. The Red Rider Ale is my favorite. It’s perfectly balanced – not overly malty and it has a smooth finish. I love it!
Next up is their pilsner – it seems to lean more toward the smooth lager side of things and doesn’t have too much of a hoppy taste like most pilsners have. It’s light and crispy.
With a friendly staff and a lovely patio, it's the perfect spot to gather with friends and enjoy some amazing food and brews. Don't miss out on those Korean Tacos—they're...
