Taqueria Mariscos El Marinero — Restaurant in Universal City

I will no longer be a regular after my visit with them yesterday. I get the same dish over and over and somehow I ended up paying $20 when the price I always paid when I went weekly was about $14. I got the enchiladas verdes with extra cheese, double rice no beans, a water and a small can of coke. Im not sure if the other ladies are not charging me for double rice on past visits and extra cheese because they never tell me its an extra charge before I order. I have no problem if it is I wish I would be informed that the add ons or whatever im replacing will be an extra charge. Then I found out a large cup of water is an extra charge as well and they have never charged me for it. I was told prices are going up yet in the menu they have remained the same. I asked to see what I was charged for and she said “it’s right here” I could not even see the computer. I feel like I have been ripped off and now misinformed with past visits because never once have I spent $20 on a single meal for myself here unless I am getting a dessert with it. Gave this place a second chance and regretted it ..went thru drive threw ..asked for a number 43..shrimp diablo..got home and saw I had a wrong meal ..she instead we said number 48..pollo and ham ..asked her if they can replace it and I will bring the food back ..we live like five minutes away ..she said I have to pay the difference ..ok ..not a problem ..so return the food back and payed more ..only to get home and find like 7 little pieces of shrimp ..a scoop of rice a piece of bread and a little salad on side ..at this point I'm not even hungry any more ..so I called back asking if I can just return the food and get a refund ..she argue with me on the phone about how they don't do that ..I told her I was better off keeping the first order cause their was way more food then I had ..I believe her name is Maria..and I will be calling the GM in the morning..I work in food industry and I'm not one to complain ..but damn u get more food in a kid's meal then what I got tonight ..smh ..never again ..zero stars ..and I will be telling all my friends that live in this town...

I bought three plates to go, two of the mini tacos with carne asada and one milanesa plate. Upon arriving home we each got the plates we wanted. I had ordered the milanesa plate for me while the other two were for my daughters. Theirs were very good and would get them again. Unfortunately the milanesa was something that resembled a piece of dried out beef jerky. Again the mini tacos were good but the milanesa was a piece of cardboard that had been dried out for three days. I couldn't believe that a cook would serve that and that waitress didn't check my order before giving it to me. The reason I tip when I order to go is because for the most part the individual taking my order usually checks my order.
