Jessie's Country Kitchen — Restaurant in University Park

Great place to eat. Stopped in to kill some time before my delivery.

Ladies running the location were all very friendly. With a sense of humor. And a smile. Very pleasant.

Ordered my Food, which is more often than not special order since I am so picky. The Food was made perfectly, I didn't have to send anything back. And the amount of Food was far more than I could have eaten. Breakfast is served all day. The Food is flavorful.

The price certainly can't be beat!!!

Most truckers complain that Truck stops think we are made of money. You won't have that issue with Jessie's!

Oh , and yes, they are cash only. However, I withdrew money from the ATM that is there on site, and unlike Pilot or petro, the atm did not ask me to say $3.50 to Make my withdraw. Maybe it's because the atm is free, or maybe the fact that my Bank makes it a free atm. Never the less, I did not pay a fee to withdraw money. So, tho they are cash only, I would not say that is a red flag for a place.

The building is quite old. The place from what I could see was very clean. The guy complaining about ripped stools must have been on some heavy hallucinatory drugs, as every stool that didn't have an ass in it was cared for. The awning is not falling apart. The windows are clean. And by the way... the thing gyros is on is not a rotisserie... it's a spit. I may have spelled it wrong. But never the less.

I had a 3 egg omelet with American cheese, spinach, mushrooms and gyros meat. A side of ham, a sweet tea and toast. The meal was enough to feed 2 people for under $8.

Somehow or another I was logged in on the wrong account when I posted my review last Saturday. That would have been March 31st. I kept the review from the other account and put it over here where it's supposed to be. These are my experiences with the company on March 31st.

I'm an over-the-road truck driver and I have been a great many establishments for burgers. That means said I would like to say that this establishment is among the top five. The service is good the atmosphere is good and the burgers themselves are pretty good. I enjoyed the little bit of time that I was there while I was waiting on my burger and fries to get done. They are testing whether or not you be open on Saturdays from what I understand, however, I would like to say that the individuals who were there today very polite and nice. Thank you for a very enjoyable burger and fries. I would like to add, that whenever I am in the area and have an opportunity I will stop here again for more...

We hit Jesse's up on the way south for Thanksgiving. If I lived around the area, I would come in for the food and just to watch the personalities that come through. It's like being in a comfy sitcom, and it's all entertaining. The food is great, my cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, the bun was toasted nicely, and the veggies were freshly cut, as are the fries, which also were fantastic. Jesse herself was a riot, telling my kids "Get your drinks from the fridge, it's just like at home!"
