Below Zero Shave Ice — Restaurant in Upland

This is based off the excellent customer service I experience yesterday at this location it was my first time ever visiting Below Zero. They have a variety of flavors to pick from and a handful of different options of actual ice cream the shaved ice was smooth the texture was amazing. I didn't so much care for the flavors I picked and that's only my fault because I didn't add anything with acidity to it my boys loved their scoop of ice cream as well but what set this experience Beyond exceptional was when I pulled off to only realize 5 minutes afterwards that I did not have my cell phone with me I knew they close at 7 so I panicked because I don't know if I dropped my phone outside or if I left it in there store. Well I raced back to the store yes I was speeding and to my surprise the young lady that served us was in the kitchen area so I started knocking on the door she popped out and I asked I signaled you know a phone that I forget my phone and she shook her head yes. She came to the door and stated that she just knew somebody was going to call so she had set the phone next to her in case somebody called I gave her a great big hug and thank her so much and let her know how much I appreciated the fact that she put my phone up and had waited a little bit to see if I either called or was going to return to the store. This gesture and itself has just gained them a loyal customer how could you not continue to do business with a company who hires honest and integrity...

Was my first time there. The woman who helped us was very nice. It was very busy in there but you would never know it by how calm and cool she was. I am assuming she is the owner.

She made recommendations, took time to welcome us as first time visitors, and to explain the ordering process and the different options. There was a line behind us but she didnt rush us at all.

I overheard her helping a high school couple after us and they didnt have enough money so she asked how much they had and she worked it so they could get something. I didnt hear the whole thing, just enough to get the impression that she was willing to work with them since they didnt have much money.

Overall the flavor was very good on the combo Strawberry, shaved ice, vanilla ice cream, cake batter, and something else, cant recall, it was the #4. The second most popular item according to the woman helping us.

I will go back and i look forward to trying...

I’ve come to this location many times. There are a couple things I don’t like but there is one that did it for me. I will never go back. 1. The manager never looks you in your eyes and is rude. 2. The snow cones are made from dirty water. I worked at Starbucks for 7 yrs and I know the difference and the THING THAT SEALED THE DEAL IN ME NEVER GOING BACK WAS WHEN MY 3 yr old left his stuffed elephant there. My son has had this animal almost since birth. He can not sleep without it and he picks at its fur when he is scared. It comforts him. Instead of holding onto it and having a lost and they threw it away. The Moral of this business seems very off to me. There is a place where I used to live called Scottys in Whittier their snow cones are huge with ice cream and their service is amazing . only 2.50 For a pint. Below zero charges too much considering the quality...
