SureStay Plus by Best Western Upland Ontario North — Hotel in Upland

The photos on their website got edited and widen. The place is not that big and clean. I booked this hotel for my family’s 1 week vacation. Overall hotel seemed to have been renovated recently but like the saying goes “Don’t judge the book by its cover”. We arrived around 10pm. Parking was great. Lobby looks good but as soon as I enter it has the disgusting smell of the overused old mop. The short hispanic lady checked us in and she was nice. The room looks neat on the naked eye but the floor was actually dirty- tbh whenever I turn the AC low it smelled like urine inside the room (Did not notice this until the 4th day of our stay because we kept the AC at high fan with 70F). There were bunch of oily fingerprints at the door, the towels-OMG they look like rags. It looked so overly used by different people, old, and has black stains on it. I went back to the lobby and asked for different towels there was the hispanic lady and caucasian lady was there and the caucasian lady said that they dont have any more extra towels until housekeeping comes at 7am. So I said, listen I don’t want to be rude but I really wanted to take a shower, we travelled from the East Coast, and pleased them to find towels at the empty rooms. She told the hispanic lady to get some towels. The dark brown cloth on the foot side of the bed did not look like it was washed, it is to make the room look pretty but it has no use- we removed it and stuck in the closet. Anyway, the pool and the tub is absolutely tiny and disgusting also, there were lights during the night and my son wanted to swim but when I saw the insects and the grease/oil looking like floating on the swimming pool I said that we are not going to the pool anymore. This place has bad customer service or No understanding of someone’s situations. I stayed here with my grandmother who is 16yrs old. Mind you I have booked my stays through Priceline and have always selected pet friendly hotels. I stayed at best western Ontario for over 2 weeks. So I had no idea they were not pet friendly. It wasn’t done intentionally. The customer service, staff and the manager were so rude and unwilling to help me. I had stayed 4 nights already and paid for tonight’s stay. I told the front office give me 20 mins to pack my things but they called the cops anyway and lied . So rude and unprofessional , I have used best western and stayed for over a month while our apartment is getting ready. The way Sure Hotel was uncalled for and I was humiliated. They called the cops to escort me out and LIED that I had a toddler that left this toddler alone. The cops said when they got the call it was an urgency call because of a toddler was involved. This was by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. We stayed here because it was close to my daughters dance competition. The online reviews are deceiving to say the least! Within a couple of minutes of being in the room my sons feet were so dirty from the floor being so filthy. Our beds had blood stained sheets on both beds to which staff tried saying it was nail polish. We had a stain on another pillow and the towels were so dingy and gross. After complaining they gave a measly 55 dollars off. The next day room service came and made ONE BED but not the other. Floors still werent cleaned and we found a pincher bug in the bed. It wasnt only my room a friend had a black spider in her shower and they gave her 20% off her stay, my cousin had pincher bugs in her bed as well, another friends floors were just as dirty as ours and the floors had metal shavings that her kids stepped on.
