Last time I ate here was about 3 years ago. And there’s a good reason for that. See about 3 years ago I had some hard shell shredded beef tacos. You know, the tacos this place gets its name from. The tacos I was served were VERY DRY and the shredded beef wasn’t shredded, seemed to be minced. Anyhow, I stopped by yesterday, in the hopes of asking questions of a professional in regards to my last dining experience here. As I was letting the guy who was taking orders know that my Dad knew Chuck, that my Dad use to take me to Los Monitos in Ontario, he began to roll his eyes. I had to let the young man know not to roll his eyes at me. I then began explaining how the last time I ate here my order, the tacos I had were very dry. I then got around to asking the him if there was any guarantee that this wouldn’t happen again. He then attempted to school me , trying to explain to me that when you fry tacos they can get dry. He’s saying this while being rather condescending . So, I had to cut him off, then walked out the place. See, Chucks famous tacos use to drip juices from the meet when biting in to them. They were so delicious. Like, I’ve enjoyed said tacos since I was a kid. Like, I said my Dad knew Chuck. Anyhow, these tacos aren’t like that anymore. Well, at least not as far as I can tell. And I wasn’t willing to roll the dice in ordering the hard shell tacos. As they aren’t cheap. Come to think of it . I might have rolled the dice, if the guy who was taking orders that day had just a little common curiosity. As he was rather unprofessional . Like , the guy was trying to ignore me as I stood there right in front of him, as I was next in line.I actually had to get his attention. I’m never going to any of their locations. It’s just too bad because I loved Los...

I’ve been reading so much about Chuck’s tacos and people’s reviews. I thought well. I’m in that little shopping center every week picking up cookies from the bakery just down the way from Chuck’s Taco, I told my girlfriend we really have to try Chuck’s tacos they say Chuck’s has the best hardshell tacos. Well, we were extremely disappointed in Chuck’s tacos. We went for taco Tuesday. We got a couple shredded beef tacos and one chicken taco and some beans and rice on the side and the price was great. It was like $17 for the both of us, but we couldn’t even bite into the taco! It was so hard, greasy and it almost tasted stale. It had very lil meat and no flavor. All we could taste was the tomatoes, cheese and the salsa we put on it. We had to scrape the insides out because we couldn’t even bite through the taco shells. I’m thinking that when they prep in the morning, they fry up a bunch of taco shells, (which they use very thick corn tortillas). Then they put them aside till someone orders a taco, they then throw the taco shell into the hot oil to heat it up and then they stuff it. So sorry Chuck that we have to give you a really bad review. The the young gentleman at the counter was very very pleasant and very helpful But we won’t be going back to...

This review about Chuck's tacos is based on my first and only visit to this small restaurant. It's not a very big place to bring your whole family for a meal. It's more for a quick bite during a lunch time with maybe a couple of friends or a couple of family members max. The menu isn't very large meaning there's not ever a big variety here. The restaurant here was clean and presentable at the time of my visit which of course is a good at any restaurant. But what I didn't enjoy about my visit here was the wait time for my small order of food and the quality of the food also. Myself along with a family member had gone for some tacos and I think we waited longer than we should have and when we got home to eat them they were very dry. Both the meat and tortillas. It was the type of dry that made the food seem as if it wasn't fresh. I'm not saying that it wasn't fresh but that's how it tasted. The only positive thing I can say about my visit was that the restaurant was clean and the two employees that were there were friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place. I can also add that I won't be going to Chuck's tacos again. Again, this review is based on my experience with my first...

THE INLAND EMPIRE’S OLDEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT. One of my followers, Aaron Gomez @a2dag_ sent me this DM: “There’s a place in Upland Ca that has had the same taco recipe since the 30’s it use to be called Los Monitos but now it’s called Chuck’s Tacos named after the previous owner Charles Alonso. “Chuck”. Excellent shredded beef tacos, enchiladas, rice and beans. Hard to find a better hard shell shredded beef taco that’s better.” Thanks for tip Aaron 🔥🔥🔥 🌮 📍CHUCK’S TACOS 661 Foothill Blvd Upland, CA 91786

Chuck Taco’s has a lot of history in the Ontario area. We stopped by for lunch. In my opinion, they are among the best in hard-shell tacos. I ordered a number 11 that came with two hard-shell tacos. I got mine with ground beef. It came with beans and rice. We also ordered a number nine which comes with two enchiladas beans and rice. I also ordered a street hotdog or a loaded hotdog that came with fries and a drink, This was “to go” for later and it was delicious. They have indoor dining with plenty of chairs and tables sit down and enjoy your meal. The chairs are comfortable. The service is friendly and courteous, and we’ve received our meal in no time. This establishment has been around for over 70 years it was called Los Monitos for those of you who remember. There’s plenty of parking with the handicap stalls close by the front entrance. 6-17-2024 Update: Stopped by for dinner and ordered a shrimp cocktail , fish taco, and a combination plate of hardshell ground beef taco, enchilada, rice and beans, these dishes were good and tasteful made just right, actually pretty close to homemade cooking.

Oh my friends when I tell you that the food here was sad believe me im not lying.a poor excuse of a taco also soggy enchiladas ridiculous. Taco bell put more meat in there tacos then this place and there was no flavor at all.Two tacos and two enchiladas came out to $18. I would have went back and asked for a refund but being on a limited lunch in couldn't. I will not be coming back
