Denny's — Restaurant in Upland

I went late night shopping w/a friend for last minute Christmas gifts on the 23rd of December. When we finished our shopping, we noticed we were hungry. We stopped @ Denny's for a bite. It was about 11:30pm when we walked into the restaurant. Although the restaurant was not very busy, it took a few minutes to be seated. The reason for this was they only had 1 person working the main dining area, handling the register & seating people. Right after being seated, my friend & I took turns to use the restroom. This is where they lose points for Atmosphere. The restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile, 1 of the 2 stalls had no toilet paper & the trash receptacle was over flowing to the floor w/the paper towels people used to dry their hands. Back @ the table, my friend & I ordered burgers w/seasoned fries. Now, I did not realize that u pay a dollar more for seasoned fries until I got my bill receipt. It probably stated it on the menu, but doesn't matter anyway because I like season fries better than regular ones. I know that our poor server was the only one working our section, but it took what felt like forever to get our food. I was hangry & made a crack about how many cooks they had in the kitchen/ was our server doing that too. My friend had a Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger w/Seasoned Fries w/side of Ranch & a Cola to drink. I had the Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger w/Seasoned Fries w/a side of Ranch & a side of Bourbon Sauce & a Lemonade. I asked for the extra Bourbon Sauce because most restaurants don't put enough on the burger. The food was great & really hit the spot. We got tired of waiting for our server to return to us, so we left the table before the server could give us our bill. We stopped @ the register paid & left. O, & as far as price. Rude staff. Starting with the waitress Sarena M. who could not take a simple order of one set of over easy eggs with hashbrowns for three of us all having the same basic breakfast with some other stuff we ordered. So our breakfast came with one plate of hashbrowns and she said that was our 3 orders of hashbrowns all together on one plate then she had 2 eggs on a small dish like for toast and 4 other eggs all cooked together. I asked her to please take the order back and have one set on eggs and one order of hashbrowns on one plate 3 times because we are not going to all eat off one plate She took it back and returned with 2 plates this time. One set of eggs with hashbrowns and the 4 eggs cooked together still and said it is too confusing. Why does Denny's hires someone who can't understand put the orders for separate people on separate plates? The mystery to this question is answered when asked to speak to the manager to fix it. The manager would not fix but instead said we do online orders and our cooks get confused. What does online orders have to do with customers dining in? She would not correct the order but her resolution was to give me an empty plate to serve myself off of others plates. This manager was all attitude and didn't even try to correct the problem. She didn't even smile which really doesn't matter but added to the ugly atmosphere of being ripped off by saying one order of hashbrowns is three. Denny's is so cheap to serve an order of hashbrowns on a plate and say that is for the three of you to share and that one set of eggs on top of the hashbrown belongs...

This Dennys has provided me with the worst Dennys experience of my life. On my way in there was a discarded pipe sitting outside the establishment. It took over 15 mins to be seated on a sunday afternoon, and they were severely understaffed. Once seated it took another 15 mins just to get our drinks, which were taken by a clearly scatter brained manager who gave us 2 wrong drinks that had to be redone. Then we had to wait at a table surrounded by overly loud highschool kids for another 10 mins just to order our food. It took 25 mins to get our meals and they were absolutely awful, the steak was undercooked, my burger was missing avocado and mayo and the patty was undercooked, the English muffin was burnt to a crisp and when we asked for a different English muffin they gave us a stale one from under a heat lamp that was hard as a rock. And to top it all off the restrooms were an utter mess, the toilet was covered in grime making you not even want to go at all anymore. The urinal was covered in per and there was a pool of it under the urinal as well. They were also understocked as they didn't have any paper towels to dry my hand off with at the time either, and the toilet paper I had to dry my hands with was so small thin and cheap I couldn't even think anyone could wipe with it. The staff here were running around like chickens with their heads cut off the whole time. And they charged my father for his free birthday slam too, and we didn't get anyone recognizing or singing happy birthday or anything and we told them at least 4 times about it.
