Writing this review in response to the people who seemed to have confused their own one-star rating as a person with the rating of Imari Sushi. This sushi place is so good, I routinely check to see if anyone rates it poorly, because the family that runs it are as genuine and awesome as the food they lovingly make. This place is carry-out only but they have a mini-mart of Japanese groceries and treats to browse while you wait for your order.
This place is an absolute gem of a sushi spot that rivals the quality and taste of higher-end sushi places in LA, but nicely hidden in the most unassuming plaza next to a Little Caesars (which is convenient if you want to treat yourself to a quality Nigri set, while you let your kids go wild on a $5 Hot-n-Ready.)
10/10 would recommend any of their sushi bowls. I've tried every single one and they do not disappoint. The only thing disappointing about Imari are the 1-star reviews...
Read moreI came here yesterday to pick up some rolls for dinner. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted. I had asked my husband earlier that day on what rolls he wanted so I ordered a Dragon Roll, Tiger Roll, Shrimp Tempura Rolls, and a Rainbow Roll and order of Tamago nigiri for myself. My total came out to $54.
They are take out only but they have a couple seats inside if you are waiting for your order.
Next time I will definitely order one of the platters and more nigiri . I told my husband about them but he wanted to try these rolls first.
They sell other items here as well like soy sauce, seasonings, snacks, even ice cream cones.
Our food was so delicious, great quality down to the rice and beautifully presented too. Great quality fish too based on the ones on my Rainbow roll. We will be coming...

It reminded me of small wholesale in Japan with the retail part for mostly sampling, which I assume the Japanese couple here is doing with the surrounding retail. If you want quality rice go for the sushi, if you want quantity rice go for the chirashi bowl. Fish is no bad but might be because I was there a bit late, but they have everything like the traditional Japanese sushi joint with the hand written daily promotion. That mean from salmon to Uni to Kanpachi to etc... They also have different budget for everyone, just don't expect a gourmet meal with greasy...
