Do not come here if you donāt speak Spanish. I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday a couple days ago. We were a big party so I asked it was possible to still pay with multiple cards. Two to be specific. Our server looked clearly bothered and answered with āwe can do up to three cards.ā So I kindly marked what needed to be charged on one card with a bright pink pen. And gave her the card. Said everything else on the second card. Then unprofessionally she asked if we want to split the tip. Our server then comes back and gives us the checks which our flipped and already charged us without letting us look over the receipts first. She was so worried about a tip she DIDNT deserve at that point. That she charged everything wrong and locked my friends card. Then my boyfriend tried to remedy the situation explaining what happened being a server himself. The whole staff at this point (3 women) were arguing with him how it was his fault not thereās. NOT UNTIL I A SPANISH SPEAKER walked up and called them out for talking Spanish behind our backs and that it is their fault that they finally admitted it was a mix up and still didnāt even apologize or suggest how to remedy the situation. My friends bill was supposed to be $70 and she had to pay DOUBLE by the time we all left the restaurant.
Unprofessional to say the least. So disappointed my birthday had to be ruined here....
Read moreFinally was able to go here after several years of living near it and several recommendations from a co-worker. It is a small restaurant in a small plaza. Seats about 30 people. The staff is friendly and very attentive. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 12pm. We were seated right away and they gave us complimentary chips and salsa while we made our dining choice. My wife chose the chili relleño and cheese enchilada with refried beans and rice. I chose the chicken and steak fajitas with rice and beans. My kids chose a la carte sopes and a kids bean and cheese burrito with fries. The food came pretty quick and it all tasted great. We all had an amazing dining experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes authentic Mexican food. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee. It was a bit water downed to my liking. We also had the flan for desert and it was delicious! When we left, there were people waiting to be seated. So this is a very popular place to eat. I know that there is another location in Montclair that is a bit bigger, next to the Trader Joe's. Neither my wife or I tried a margarita, but I've been told that they are really good. Maybe next time. I will definitely be...

Very clean, and there is great lighting... We ordered table side guacamole which I believe was overpriced, but it was delicious. We also ordered 3 entree's, chili verde burrito, a cheese enchilada with rice and beans, and a beef tostada. All of the food was very fresh, and the shredded beef in the tostada was very tender and seasoned perfectly you can taste hints of lime, and garlic. The pork in the chili verde burrito was ok, it was just a bit to fatty for our liking. If the pork was leaner it would have been exceptional because it had great flavor. The cheese enchilada was a basic cheese enchilada, the sauce was good, not too spicy, and had a good smokey flavor. I gave 3 stars because service is lackluster, the servers seem to forget about you after you've been sat, and when your order arrives if anything is missing you probably wont get it even after you ask, or if you do get it, chances are you'll be finished with your meal, however, if you have time and are in the mood for decent Mexican food give this...
