Family came here to order dinner for my sister's birthday.

1st issue 1 person in our party ordered a smashed meatloaf burger, that came out wet and raw. When speaking to management about it they responded with "that's just how we make it here" and "if we cooked it any longer it would fall apart" when it was basically raw mush anyway. Even the manager said it was a terrible product.

2nd issue another in our party ordered a sliced steak sandwich as listed on the menu Her sandwich was not sliced steak but was a cube steak so overcooked it was basically shoe leather, couldn't even cut it with a knife she had to rip it apart with her hands (and mind you this was a sandwich that she had to tear apart to even eat). When asking the waitress about it she said they don't have sliced steak (then why even market it as such on the menu) and that's just how they make the sandwich. And when mentioned to the manager when she came out she just blew the whole problem off saying it's there normal slice steak they serve at hoss's (which she even mentioned was just a cube steak plus overcooked so bad you couldn't bite into it)

The rest of the food was also sub-par and not worth the raised prices they now charge. But those were the 2 major issues. They took both those off the bill but considering their ice cream machine was out off order we basically ended up paying 100 bucks for just salad.

Place used to he great years ago but has fell off majorly. We came 6 months ago also ordered our entrees with the salad bar and right after we ordered and got our salad the power went out and was told it would not be back up for hours so they couldn't make our food. Despite that they still charged us full price (almost 100 dollars) for the salad bar (which we had to eat in the dark) and not the discount you get with the entrees we had gone there intending to eat and not even given the option to leave without eating the salad and not paying. If we wanted just salad we would have just stayed home.

Can safely say after both those incidents we will not be returning again and I strongly recommend going somewhere else to others, for the prices they charge now you could go to any other chain steakhouse for...

Decent food, server seemed a bit rushed with us, but took time at other tables. Didn't pay attention when we asked for refills, and walked away rather than listen as our 4 year old tried asking for a drink himself. She gave a wrong side dish, we didn't feel it was worth telling her because she only half paid attention to us from the start.

One steak wasn't cooked medium as requested but was sent back, took a little long to come back, still not quite medium, although better. The side of mashed potatoes with it was not refreshed (still the wrong side) but left under the heat and dried on top.

Mushrooms were sitting in melted butter, overtook the rest of its flavor. Was asked if I wanted the dinner roll that came with my meal after the meal was delivered as if I wasn't necessarily gonna want it.

Upon receiving the bill, the server joked about us taking a larger bill (we had 3 adults and 1 child) and the server even showed the bill for the other larger table before giving us our real bill.

3 Stars for okay food. Service was not...

Hoss's now offers a more formal table-side service with a dedicated wait staff. In the past you would order your meal at a station upon entering the restaurant, over the past years this process has been eliminated. As with everywhere, prices have increased, but we find the quality of the product has decreased. Upon our most recent visit, I ordered the grilled chicken with the salad bar. My chicken came out undercooked. It was a busy night, as our school was hosting a fundraiser event with Hoss's (excellent program Hoss's!). Because of this, to get our waitresses attention was next to impossible. My husband's steak was terribly overcooked. Our take-away, we don't voluntarily go to hoss's unless we're supporting a fundraiser graciously hosted by Hoss's offering a very nice percentage of the sales back to the organization. Additionally, we will stick to only ordering the all you can eat salad bar, as the traditional meals are pricey, lack flavor...

Typically we’ve had great experiences pre-COVID; however, since COVID, the staff hasn’t been the same as well as management bc the salad bar leaves very little to be desired. One time mid afternoon, the lettuce bowl empty w/nobody in sight. Next time, plenty of food but the service was poor especially the host /hostess. When we’d get a good host/hostess, I’d normally tell them boy what a great personality unlike some that were previously there. Next time they’re gone & replaced w/another straight face no interest to be there person. Today, salad looked like someone wasn’t in the mood to be “slicing” vegetables properly but instead cut cucumbers really thick & don’t even mention the cauliflower …. Ugh!!! Not truly sure how much more we are going to take coming into this place. The Annville Restaurant is far superior compared to this one & even in variations of food. I could spend a couple hrs there & we’ve been there all different hours!!!!!

This place really knows how to host a school's fundraiser! Starting at the hostess stand when we walked in until we left, everyone was so pleasant. We had a grilled chicken and mashed potatoes, beef tips & gravy with mashed potatoes, and a kids hot dog dinner. We all had the salad bar. There was plenty of soup and salad for everyone. They ran out of dinner rolls but that was ok, we didn't care for them. The chicken breast was smaller than the heap of potatoes. However, the chicken was cooked just right, it was very juicy. The beef tips came out a little under cooked but was still delicious. The best thing about the hot dog was they cut (engraved) my child's name in it. As for dessert we enjoyed ice cream with chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles, chocolate pudding with whipped cream, and cinnamon bread with icing which all were amazing!
