I almost never go to fast food places, but I was super hungry and tired and just needed something. Wendy's was my go to many years ago. So, I was like "what the heck, let's pack in 1,000 calories while we drive."
I pulled up here about 10:45? 11PM? and ordered a chicken sandwich meal and a baked potato (although, I was so tired I thought I was ordering fries with sour cream and chives). Anyway.
The ordering post/voice box/(whatever that thing is called) experience was odd. I could hear laughing and then I was asked to wait for a minute. There was NO ONE there, mind you. Empty parking lot. Empty drive through. Finally dude comes back and seems like he's having trouble understanding my order. I was like "I'd like a number 3 meal with a mello yellow, please!" Apparently, the communication voice box thing translated that order into Klingon or something.
Anyway, we got the order straight and I pulled up. Again the behavior was odd. I can't explain it, but it felt like I was interrupting something. Like maybe they were smoking a j? Maybe they were sacrificing beef patties to the fast food dogs? Maybe they were making tik toks and trying to go viral. Who knows.
They took my payment and told me it would be a few minutes. No problem. I like fresh food.
But then they instructed me to pull up BUT NOT like all the way up. Just literally like 4 feet forward. Like, what? Why? So I can't see inside? SUS. SUS all day.
I expected someone to come out with the food, but then after a few minutes, the dude at the window was like "pull your car BACK to the window." Again. What? LOL.
Hands me my bag and it's all done. That was bizarre.
So now I'm like "is this food gonna be safe to eat?" Like, are a bunch of teenagers in there doing teenager shit?
Meh. I was hungry, so I reach in and grab a few fries. Not bad. I pulled the sandwich out and took a bite. Oh gross. It tasted like it was 3 hours old. It was missing pickles and some other toppings. Nasty, son. Nasty. I kept eating it because damn I was hungry but it was a grueling process. Just gross.
Anyway. Won't be back. Don't recommend you go there...
Read moreAfter the 2nd time of having a terrible experience I wanted to leave a review. Last week I went through the drive thru on a Saturday night between 8 and 9pm. Got a large fry, a chicken sandwich, a cup of cheese sauce for the fries, a 4 for $4 meal deal and 2 large chocolate frostys. The only thing that was good in the order were the frostys. Everything was ice cold, the chicken was hard and dark colored, the tiny cup of cheese sauce was so cold and the real kicker was that the fries were not even half way filled up! I kid you not, they were like 1/4 filled. I have no idea how no employee noticed the fry container was mostly empty when serving them and putting them in the bag. You couldn't miss that! Well I tried again on a Friday afternoon around 4pm bc i was starving, it's off the exit on my way home and I had coupons and hardly any money. So, this time the people were rude, acting like I was bothering them asking for napkins since there were none in the bag. And the fries were old and very cold again, way colder than the last time even! Although this time they were filled most of the way so that was an improvement but that's not something anyone should have to worry about. When you're paying for a certain size of something you expect, and should get that size!!! Im not wasting my time at this Wendy's location anymore no matter how hungry I am! From what I have seen of their employees they really don't seem to care much of how they appear to customers or the quality...
Read moreAvoid this location. In one visit, they manage to, half fill a large fry container with greasy/oily, undercooked fried (oil was under temp). The "Baconator" fries had those issues, but were ~3/4 full, had old cheese, almost no bacon, and soggy. The chicken nuggets and triple bacon cheeseburger were cold, but that could be from our order taking so long.
Oh, don't expect the flavor of soda that you want/order either. You are likely to find them out of it. They also wither don't pay attention (or don't care) when (not so little, ~8) kids repeatedly lick their fingers and taste the self serve dispensers (and repeat; I'd rate those parents 1 star also, but I don't know how). This seems outside of their control until I flash to the time I saw it at Costco on a VERY busy day and an employee raced over to the dispenser to sanitise it.
Service took over 30 minutes. To top it all off, the manager was EXTREMELY rude to my wife, slammed her drink down after after she timidly (I had to push her to go back in and say anything), mentioned that they had forgotten her great aunt's burger and her small coke. They also forget my food, which we didn't catch immediately, so it was too late.
I've never both rated a restaurant so low and wish that you could rate it lower than 1 star because it doesn't deserve...
