The smell of this place makes you want to buy everything. It's really clean and the counter attendants are quick, friendly and very courteous. I had a really good sandwich: Italian roast beef (hot au ju) with broccoli, long hot peppers, horseradish, sharp prov. Some of these extras came with the sandwich, I added others. It cost under $10 and was served on an excellent Italian roll...bread really matters as everyone knows. It was wrapped with care. You always know when you unwrap it. Nothing fell all over the place. I hate that. This sandwich was made with care. Also, it is important that I be able to bite through the beef and find it tender with no gristle. Yep...excellent! My only suggestion (respectfully) is to find a way to heat-up the peppers and the broccoli (not microwave please). I ate this sandwich in the side parking lot (part time uber driver) next to the automotive place. Everything got really cold and dry instantly. The chill of the contents overpowered the hot au ju. The cheese wasn't even melted. I ate it all though. It was still tasty. I will be back to try other items especially the pre-made Italian dinners like spaghetti and gnocchi. I will highly recommend this...
Read moreMy husband and I have been searching for a place that makes great cheesesteaks and hoagies around our area. Car-Mira's has been around for years. For as long as I can remember. We were previous customers of another sandwich shop that closed. We stopped buying our sandwiches at that shop a while before they closed up. When we order from Car-Mira's, there is so much meat in the large sandwich that you could literally make two out of it if you had another roll. Their hoagies are amazing. I would much rather spend an extra dollar or two for a sandwich that's amazing than spend half the price for a sandwich that's barely filled with any meat, when our youngest comes home from college, this is the place we order sandwiches to. Really great place has already made dinners in there as well that you can put your freezer and heat up during the week. My only regret is that we didn't use them sooner and wasted our money on other shops that don't come close to meeting the standard this Deli...
Read moreWe tried this place for the first time recently. When i moved in to the area I started trying a variety of delis in the area and somehow this place flew under the radar for a while. I am glad I finally tried them, their sandwich selection is very good.
The sandwich was definitly on point with the amount of meat and cheese you get, and if you get roasted hot peppers they are longhots. Very good choice over the more common pickled banana pepper rings.
Ill say their price isnt crazy high compared to some delis, but you definitly get what you pay for and the extra dollar or two goes a long way in terms of sandwich quality.
They do have a standard deli as well where you can buy meats and cheese by the pound along with rolls etc. They also have a variety of frozen italian fooods, be they prepared options like spaghetti and meatballs or just bulk bags...
