Pros: Food was good to me and hot (smokehouse burger cooked to perfection n fries were good), game was fun. Cons: Yet for my party some food was hot and some food was cold and horrible: no forks or paper napkins. The only issue w my food servicing was that I wanted a refill on my Pepsi and I didn't get it til 45 mins later thus having to chug it down cold, because there was no to go cups and they took too long to refill and bring it back during my game time; I ended up leaving the cup in another section of the facility as I was drinking as my party was leaving. The service was not good and here is why: for first comers, you spend 15-25 mins seeking help w the personal information board and securing it into their system which is difficult because even if your info is accurate they ask a plethora of personal questions and the board freezes due to the long duration of the process; you will need assistance that you would have to flag down a passerby as there is no call button for assistance. All this time your game started already that you paid $192.31 dollars yet you have to flag someone down for assistance to get the process going. Waiters were not attentive: two of my friends originally ordered fries yet they brought tator tots. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich w bacon on it, and there was no bacon on it; by the time he got his remade sandwich it came 1 hour and 30 mins and our game had 30 mins left. After all it was partially my husband's birthday celebration yet he had to rush to finish our game or his food. 8 mins before our game was over, he had to get a to go box, because the server AJ was rushing to set up for the next party. Luke was our food server initially, and he passed our order to AJ; as AJ said he would take our order because it's a shift change yet Luke was behind us clearing out section trash the whole time. However, the manager did waive my husband's food order from the bill, as it was an inconvenience; and that was appreciated. Adjustments necessary are as follows: servers need to be attentive, submit orders of error in a timely manner, tell customers to arrive 15-20 mins early; before game start to collect the questions they need about the players personal info, let them know it's a 5 dollar member fee for new members in advance instead of on their paid game time surprisingly. New Members need assistance w the personal question board as it freezes when operated too long needing a server to clear and reset, and yet too many questions are asked about each player; keep it brief, as it makes customers irritable and lose interest in the fun of the game. All of this during game time, and you have to rush to get your money's worth of playing due to so many unnecessary personal questions. News Flash: bring your own plastic forks and to go cups and paper napkins and bags for your to go box. Per Bay 332: 4.30pm-6.30pm of...
Read moreI wish I had read the reviews prior to coming to this Topgolf location. It would have saved my friends and myself some money and our time. It's safe to say that my Sunday was ruined. First of there were lots of technical issues at this location. Mind you I had gone to the Northeast Philly location and did not encounter any problems.
My friends and I spent probably 20-25 minutes dealing with lots of technical issues. There were delays in the video replay. It normally should come up right away but it was lagging and took like 2-4 minutes. I brought this up to the waitress and she blamed it on the "cloudy " weather and that everyone else is experiencing this too . If that's the case then you should let costumers know about the inclement weather so they could be informed and make a decision to continue with Topgolf or not. I looked at other players who weren't calling for help regarding this issue. They were fine. This kept happening and we were pretty fed up. The manager approached us and told us that this issue is due to the faulty balls. This doesn't make sense because every single ball I was hitting was lagging even when I was making it into the net. He then explained that if it didn't go far then there would be no video replay. This also doesn't make sense because I never experienced this at the Northeast Philly location.
The second issue was the lack of points even after making it inside the net. Their reasoning for this was if another person makes it in the same place then I don't get any points. Also false because this wasn't an issue at the NE Philly location. You're telling me that the odds of our group making it in the same exact spot are high?
I brought this up and the manager said we can edit our own points. Then what's the point of playing if we can just adjust the points ????
We spent 20 minutes on this and we had only booked it for an hour. The nice thing is that the manager did reset the game and gave us back 15 minutes but we still didn't even get to even hit like half of the balls.
Don't even bother getting the food here. We got the chicken nachos like 20 minutes in and it looked and tasted underwhelming. The cheese wasn't even melted all the way and it looked cold :(
It's such a shame because KOP is a beautiful neighborhood and we had the worst experience here wasting our Sunday when I could have done something else. Please do not come to this location. I definitely will not be returning. The NE Philly location is much better !!!!!!!! If the reasoning is in fact inclement weather which I find hard to believe then let customers know prior to...
Read moreI’ve been to several Topgolf locations and have never had an experience go as negatively as the one today did. I normally go to either Mount Laurel or more recently Philadelphia, both of which I’ve had better experiences at.
I came with my girlfriend and a friend from out of town. I made a reservation ahead of time, but despite this my bay was not ready on time. I found out after asking the front desk about it that this was because someone else had gone into our bay and they had to figure out how to get us a different one. This resulted in us not getting started until the next starting window.
Then we get to our service. We were not even approached by a waiter/waitress for over an hour. One of us ended up walking to the bar just to get us some water (which also took 15 minutes). When they eventually did show up, I asked for a pitcher of water, to which they said they couldn’t do that and brought us cups of water instead. I know that is not true because I’ve had pitchers of water delivered at other locations. After this we were not checked in on again until the last 5 minutes of gameplay. The waiter extended us into “free play” for the extra time we lost due to the bay availability mix-up, but clearly didn’t communicate that to anyone else because we were interrupted later by someone else asking us to leave because the time expired.
The one positive I will say (hence 2 stars rather than 1) is the technology. Compared to the other locations, this one has nicer technology with more displays as well as color-coordinated lighting to music. I’m not sure if this is being added to all locations, but it’s the first I’ve seen with it and it was pretty cool. The downside is, as many others have noted, it definitely seemed less accurate than other locations as we had to manually enter what felt like every other shot. I hope this improves over time.
All in all, I’m very disappointed with the service at this location, which is a shame since it’s the closest one to me and I pass it almost every day from my drive to/from work. And it sounds to me from reading reviews that many others have also had similar issues with poor/sparse service and inaccurate scoring, among other issues. I hope these issues are addressed eventually, but until then I’ll likely stick to going to the...
