I was hoping this review would not be needed, but because of the circumstances this may be the only way to get a response. A friend and I visited Chow Bistro for dinner and the atmosphere and food was delicious. So I thought let me check out Chow Corner Cafe, I ordered the lox and cream cheese platter unaware that this platter was not lox and bagels. Wasn't sure why on the online ordering app it ask you to pick a bread item unbeknownst to me there was an extra charge for the bagel. I picked up my order and sat in the parking lot wondering why the container was so light, then saw it was small portion of lox with toast and two small containers of cream cheese what did I just spend $14.84 expensive and then to charge $1.50 for one bagel is crazy. Decided to return the meal and buy ingredients to make my own lox and bagel with cream cheese and it actually was less expensive and of course delicious. When I returned the food the gentlemen at the register explained since I placed the order online I would have to wait for a refund and would reach out to the owner/manager to make them aware of the situation. He took my receipt and said someone would follow up with me the following Monday. After several attempts with the owner as of May 18th I still have not received my refund nor any follow up with the owner. The meal was not worth $14.84 and all I want is my money to be refunded. So be careful if you ever order online for this...
Read moreLooking for somewhere new for us and came across chows corner cafe. Reviews looked good so we decided to give it a try. We had breakfast. Both our of meals were delicious aside from the bacon. Bacon was too crispy and very salty. But the rest of the meal was delicious. Melba cream cheese pancake/French toast type dishes come with plenty of delicious fresh fruit. The issue we really had was the service. The staff were nice but our server only saw us to take the order and give us our check. Someone else delivered the food to our table and he never checked in on us to make sure everything was alright. There is a first bite rule when serving where you should be asking the customer within the first few bites if everything is okay. If there is an issue that gives you time to fix and is just a part of good service. No one came over to check our coffees either. First place I have ever gone to breakfast where no one asked if I need more or a refresh. I would suggest better training of your staff so your food quality and service quality...
Read moreThis place tries very hard to give you their best. The service I felt was on par with what you need and they checked on you but there was really no wow factor in service. Was very impersonal. Besides that we only had omelet and a wrap we had wasn't horrible but again like didn't makes think I am going to go out my way to come back. There was a lack of seasoning .As we sat eating our meal we heard other people complain about their bill and the price. It was handled professionally. When we got our check we did feel it didn't really reflect the level of food we got but we paid and exited the building with no complaints. I think the restaurant is a bit small and tight in some places but think it's got enough fun touches that it is welcoming. Our experience wasn't horrible but maybe your experience may be better. Definitely check them out and see. I believe with small little tweaks they will definitely even become better. But they already seem to be busy and have found a good patronage. Which is nice small business wish them the...
