A pretty average Mexican eatery in my opinion, with a few highlights. I sampled a few different items - Chipotle Shrimp, open-face Chorizo Quesadilla, and the Carne Asada. I also tried the chips and guacamole - and the churros for dessert.
I enjoyed the Chipotle Shrimp. The sauce was great and the shrimp were very large and well cooked. The rice and veggies were pretty plain - but the sauce mixed with them well. This was the star of my order.
The Carne asada was ok - had decent flavor, but the steak was a bit tougher than my liking - which can be pretty normal for a skirt steak. It was a large steak - and with the tortillas, rice, and beans (which were great), it was a good value for the $23.
I generally rest my decision on how great a Mexican restaurant is on the quality of its chorizo - and this spot did not hit the mark. I was not a fan of the chorizo quesadilla - did not even taste like chorizo and it seemed like it was overcooked - with the open-face style being a unique approach I haven't seen before that just did not fit my preference. I did pick up my order, so perhaps it was sitting a bit and impacted the texture and the finish of this dish.
Finally, the chips and guacamole were great (pretty standard) - and the churros were great - especially with the caramel sauce.
Overall, it's a decent spot - but it didn't stand out in any way compared to others in this...

The standout dish for me is their creamy chipotle chicken. The rich, smoky sauce has just the right amount of spice, perfectly complementing the tender, juicy chicken. It's a dish that I find myself craving again and again.
Their crunchy ground beef tacos, flour chicken tortilla, and their chicken burrito, are favorites of mine as well!
The refried beans and rice served here are the perfect accompaniment to any dish!
Beyond the food, the service at this restaurant is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They go out of their way to ensure that every dining experience is memorable, making it a place I love to return to time and time again!

Read moreOh my word this place was just what I wanted!!!! DELICIOUS food, decent prices, attentive service. My only complaints are the hostess could've smiled and been a bit more cheery and I was unhappy with only one free serving of chips and salsa (which apparnetly since we were a smaller family (4) they gave us quite a small dish of salsa whereas a family of six got a bit bigger of a bowl of salsa). I just think there's no need to be stingy on chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. I wouldn't pay $2.50 for a second serving of the small portion we got. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. However their tres leches cake was BOMB AWESOME. Ended on a...
