READ IF YOU'RE READY TO BELIEVE IN MIRACLES
CHAPTER 1: MY GREATEST REGRET IN LIFE For 2+ years I drove past this place. All the time. It was just never "the right time" to drop in, if you know what I mean. That all changed a few weeks ago. I was on my way home from the worst car dealership experience of my life (s/o Carshop). Starving, in need of a satiating delight, I pulled in. And within moments, I was overwhelmed with regret over all the times I drove by. All the times I settled for less than I deserved.
CHAPTER 2: ENTERING DELI MODE A bell dinged as the door swung open. Lo and behold. A true deli. Now, I know my delis. I commute to NYC for work after all. And this, friends, was a deli. A vibrant menu. Cozy vibes. Treats and seats galore. And a charming staff. I took a moment to gaze my options. That's when I saw it.
CHAPTER 3: ASPARAGUS?!?! Phoenixville. The neighboring town, most known for The Blob, Steel City Coffee House, and an annual ritual of burning a giant wooden bird. Marvelous town. And it just so happened to be the name of the hoagie that caught my eye. Roast beef. Provolone. Horsey mayo. Oregano. And.... asparagus. Who would do such a thing, I pondered. I had to investigate. I had to order it.
CHAPTER 4: FIRST IMPRESSIONS If you've made it this far, you've earned a reward. So let me cut to the chase. This thing slapped. It was juicy, it was zesty, it put my tastebuds to the testy. I went home and told my wife. I even saved her a few bites, which was very selfless of me, I might add. It appeared to me in dreams for at least 4 nights in a row. But it wasn't enough to sell me on the deli. Any place can have 1 good dish or 1 good day. I needed to put it to the test once more.
CHAPTER 5: NEW ENGLAND SEALS THE DEAL So one week later, I returned. This time, with a wife. My wife, to be clear. After studying the menu, I locked into the New England Style Shrimp Roll with bacon. And friends... it hit the spot like a freight train. I'm a big seafood roll guy. My bar is high. Always has been. And this thing sang to me. It sang sweet and savory songs that I do not dare to utter in this review (too sacred).
CHAPTER 6: THE MIRACLE TL;DR I'm now a Mont Clare Deli & Market stan for life. My trust as been won. My loyalty has been secured by the sales of several special treats. Honorable mentions: The homemade pop-tarts go CRAZY. The soups to-go feel like home. And the drink selection is second to none. I grew up believing in miracles, but somewhere along the way that belief faded like someone's memory of a town. I believe in miracles again, friends. They happen in Mont Clare Deli &...

Read moreLaura, the owner, catered a retirement party for 30 people at our house and Mont Clare was completely amazing. Laura was easy to work with completely upfront with pricing and options and was very friendly. In addition, she delivered incredible service as her husband and helpers showed up with everything completely ready and in presentation mode at the exact time she said she would. In addition, we had a charcuterie board that she hand made for an hour. It was completely amazing. I’m adding a photo to this so you can see. They make all sizes for charcuterie. I would highly recommend Mont Clare Deli because the food is amazing and very delicious and fresh. It was pretty apparent they put a lot of effort into the food quality and preparation. We had hoagies, meatballs, Mac n cheese, Philly cheesesteaks and salad, which were all amazing. Everything was prepared ahead of time and ready to eat, and Mont Clare helped make the evening...
