The wife and I had just left the hospital in Phoenixville around 7:30. We were heading to another restaurant and missed one of our turns, fortunately we crossed the bridge into Mont Clare to turn around in your parking lot. My wife insisted that we look at it as a possibility. I initially stepped out of the car and looked and the steps going down towards the river where some tables were set up. Well my wife couldn't make it down there. Then I walked in the main foyer door and what to my wondering eyes 👀 should appear "a lift" which is what I was concerned about because my wife is handicapped and there is no way she would have made it up the steps. The young lady at top of the stairs told me no problem, we'll get our manager to work the lift for you. Come in when you're ready. When we entered the door Zoe one of the managers was there ready to take her up the lift. We were taken to a table immediately and 3 minutes later, yes Zoe said that you're my table tonight. We started out with an iced tea, Kenwood Original & a hummus plate, which was great. My wife had a Naked Bourbon Bacon Burger & I ordered a Roasted Vegetable Panini & we topped it all off with a slice of key lime pie. The dishwasher must have been amazed almost nothing to clean.🤣😂. Yes we'll be back again. 4 out of 5 stars only because we would have preferred a low top outside, the great thing for Lock 29 on a beautiful night was tgat they were all filled. We will wait for one the next time.😀👍 On our return list...
Read moreThe food and service have gone extremely down hill. The service isn't even service as you have to prompt the conversation with your server that doesn't even clear plates or asks if you like your food or would like another drink. Also giving a 4 year old a huge glass of water that's taller than her head. Let's use a little common sense. Lexi H you should really find another job as being a waitress is not for you, zero personality and I mean zero. Which I did not care for my food with huge chunks of tuna that was not properly cut and the sauce was so overwhelming it was not edible. But the waitress wouldn't know that as she left it sitting in the the table even after it was pushed to the edge for the entire time we were there. You also promote your happy hour but of course the happy menus are not on the tables or the specials. I only knew there where specials when I asked for the desert menu. After an awful meal that I didn't eat, I had to hunt down the waitress to get my check. I honestly always tip or way above but she deserves nothing. What a waste of time, food and money. I was in often during the summer months with friends or my daughter with a totally different experience. Now I definitely will not be returning. Awful to...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to give Lock29 another chance, hoping for a better experience this time around. However, it seems that our optimism was misplaced.
From the moment we were seated, it was clear that our server, Nicole T, was not particularly interested in providing attentive service. The table was left cluttered with dirty plates and old water glasses, as she neglected to clear them throughout our meal.
To add insult to injury, the food itself was a letdown. My boyfriend's dish arrived missing a key component – the salmon and the whole dish lacked flavor. Meanwhile, despite my specific request to have pickled jalapeños on the side, it arrived smothered in them. The icing on the cake was when a member of your staff managed to spill sauce all over our table and cutlery, only to nonchalantly hand us some napkins and walk away, leaving the mess behind.
Needless to say, our evening at Lock29 was far from enjoyable, and we have no intention of returning in the future. It's truly a shame that such a promising establishment has fallen short in delivering a satisfactory...
