I really enjoy this bakery, they use high-quality ingredients, and everything is made fresh. The pastries are super delicious, with lots of different choices. One thing that could be better is if they had a price menu that hangs up where everyone can see it. This would make it easier for customers to know the prices.Overall, it's a great bakery, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves fresh and tasty pastries.
Update: I recently went there and the usual girl was not at the counter it was an older woman dressed in all black. She wasn't as welcoming as the girls I'm not sure who she is but definitely not as warm and welcoming no smile or even an hello. However what was bothersome was I ordered 5 criossants that were pretty large and she began putting them all in paper bags. I kindly asked for a box because this was going to my office and she complained to me that the boxes are only for gifts because they are expensive. I'm sorry but that's not the customers issue. It's unprofessional to complain about the prices of boxes to a customer purchasing more than enough to go in a box. Purchase cheaper boxes or have a criossant count minimum policy for boxes, I purchased 5 and they were big enough that some of them were on top of each other inside the box. The boxes are nice and all but not that nice where it looks luxurious. They are plain white boxes. So if that's an issue don't pass it onto to customer, adjust your business practice to better suit your finances and find a different box distributor. If I order 5 or more I don't want them stuffed in sleeve paper bags it's messy and...
Read moreI've been here a few times and think it's a very cute setup. The lemon tart is incredible and I've heard the croissants are also great. I do have one complaint, and I'm not taking away any stars or trying to get anyone in trouble but I just wanted to bring up an issue I ran into today. I had bought my mom a $25 gift card and went with her today for Mother's Day. We ordered 2 coffees and 1 pastry, bringing the total to around $18. I was told by the cashier and everyone else who was working there that you need to spend the entire amount on the gift card. This can't be correct, is it?? Why would anyone buy someone a gift card if they were forced to use the full amount in one visit, ESPECIALLY at a coffee shop where you can buy relatively inexpensive items. The girls were very sweet and apologetic, but we ended up having to buy more than we wanted in order to meet the $25 and not get screwed over. I think this issue should be addressed because I have never in my life encountered this before. They told me it was "too complicated" with gift cards, but at other restaurants they usually just deduct the total and then write a manager's initials to confirm. Or something! There has to be a solution to that. I'll likely return, but I will never buy another gift card if this is actually...
Read moreIâm a resident of Upper Saddle River in fact my neighborâs daughter is in the same school as the ownerâs daughter and she actually recommended for me to try the bakery. However , after visiting the shop over 4 times I had different experiences. The first time everything was great the young spanish girl a guy are so warm and inviting .Cleanliness is something I take very seriously especially when it pertains to food The next time I went . I ordered a croissant and the young lady who was a different staff member had her earbuds in her ear. Took them out put them in the same pocket she had her glove in and put her glove on to grab the croissant that she served me. I threw it out. That is totally unacceptable. Also an older Woman that works there with glasses has zero customer service no good morning no greeting and what I donât understand if I order a breakfast sandwich I have to ask for a bag to put it in . The ambience is great. The ham and Swiss croissant is great and I enjoyed the latte. An CrĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e is my favorite dessert. if the staff uses their cell phones they should be washing there hands before not only touching gloves but using new gloves that would make the place much better an all staff should at least Greet...
