As someone who has always held Chick-fil-A in high regard for its exceptional service and quality, I never thought I’d find myself writing a negative review—let alone one for a location in my own Bergen County. Yet, after my experience on Saturday, August 24th, at the Chick-fil-A in Ramsey, I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction. I visited this location not once, but twice on the same day, hoping that my first experience was just a fluke. Unfortunately, both visits left me deeply disappointed. Chick-fil-A has long been known for its friendly, courteous staff and impeccable service, so imagine my surprise when I was met with quite the opposite. I thought my second visit that day would be different and that the hospitality would be a lot nicer. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. The atmosphere was anything but welcoming. I was rushed through the ordering process as if the staff were more interested in getting me out the door than ensuring I had a pleasant experience. There was no warmth, no eye contact, and certainly no sense of the "customer-first" attitude that has always set Chick-fil-A apart from other fast-food chains. What was particularly disheartening was the lack of basic courtesy from the staff. Now, I understand that everyone has off days, and I certainly don't want to jeopardize anyone's job by naming names—especially in these tough economic times—but the rudeness I encountered was shocking. I always believed that Chick-fil-A employees were trained to be kind and courteous, regardless of the situation, but this experience proved otherwise. I was rushed, dismissed, and left feeling completely unappreciated as a customer. My previous experiences with Chick-fil-A, both in Bergen County and elsewhere, have always been positive, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. This stark contrast has left me questioning the consistency of the brand's values and training across different locations. It's particularly disappointing that this happened in my home county, where I had always felt a sense of pride in the local businesses. Furthermore, the quality of the food didn't make up for the poor service. While Chick-fil-A is known for its delicious offerings, the food I received was lukewarm and lacked the freshness I've come to expect. It was as if the overall decline in service had permeated every aspect of the experience, from the staff's demeanor to the quality of the meal itself. I never thought I'd be writing such a negative review about Chick-fil-A, but my experience at the Ramsey location was so far below the standards I've come to expect that I feel obligated to share my concerns. Chick-fil-A has built a reputation on kindness, quality, and customer service, and it was disheartening to see those values completely absent during my visits. Corporate will definitely be getting a call from me about this. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken seriously and that the Ramsey location takes the necessary steps to address the issues with their service. Every customer should feel valued and respected, and I hope that future patrons have a far better experience than I did. It’s my hope that this review will lead to positive changes, so that no other customer has to leave feeling as disappointed and frustrated as I did. While this experience has certainly shaken my confidence in Chick-fil-A, I still hold out hope that this was an isolated incident and that the brand will take action to ensure that its values are upheld at all locations, including the one in Ramsey. If I could give zero...
Read moreSoggy cold chicken today for breakfast. Blackened dry chicken with cold, soggy, undercooked fries for dinner on multiple previous visits. Drive thru line takes an hour for dinner and there’s not enough parking to get carry out. They make carry out patrons stand outside in the freezing cold with no seats and refuse to turn on the patio heater units. Used to park at Uncle Guiseppe’s and walk over but their lot is now fenced off to keep restaurant patrons out. Entering and exiting the location from NJ-17 is a dangerous nightmare with fast traffic. This is my least favorite CFA location. Keep driving south and find another CFA or try Popeyes.
Update: Now only one star. Gave it another shot tonight for dinner. Paying cash in the drive thru the attendant stole my change, we were given no sauce of any kind without notice of lack of stock, staff walked blatantly in front of my moving car almost getting hurt, and the chicken was so burnt my wife had to throw away all twelve of her nuggets as they were unbearable to eat without sauce to hide the burnt oil taste. It is a disgrace to call this “restaurant” a...
Read moreDear Management,
I am very upset with the unprofessional behavior of the staff at the stores where I make deliveries. They keep asking me to “confirm” the orders, which I find very unethical. For example, only Chick-fil-A in a prestigious area like Ramsey uses this practice, and no other store does this. This affects my motivation and hurts the store’s reputation. Also, I never eat from these types of stores; I make my own food at home.
Delivery drivers are not thieves; they are just doing their job. Saying “confirm” to them feels like saying “you are a thief.” Are these employees taught to say this, or are managers telling them to do it to harm the store’s name?
Please train the staff again to treat customers and delivery drivers (Dashers) with respect. Instead of saying “confirm,” they should say “thank you for delivering the food.” Remember that this is the most developed country in the world, and the people living here are advanced as well.
I kindly ask you to take action on...
