Timothy's Lionville — Restaurant in Uwchlan Township

Food and portion sizes were good, but service was honestly the worst I've ever had at any restaurant before and extremely slow. My waiter was probably new, but he didn't seem to know any of the happy hour specials when asked. He also didn't remember if I had ordered or not and came back like he still had to take my order. He did this twice, with my drinks and my food. He had to be constantly reminded for new straw and silverware as the table wasn't set. I never received them so I had to unfortunately just take some from another table. He also gave me the wrong order when the food came out and therefore charged me for the wrong entree. I was eventually given the right order, but it shouldn't have taken an hour and a half. Finally, it would've been nice if he would've smiled just once throughout all of this, he was not at all welcoming. I don't think this is representative of what this restaurant could be because I didn't think the food was bad at all.

Edit: (4/18/20) I decided to come back (about 2 months ago) after the manager reached out to me and my experience was ten times better than my initial one. I was so happy I came back to eat here because the waitress did a wonderful job, and the spare ribs I had ordered were among some of the best I have tasted compared to other restaurants. Thank you for giving me the chance to experience the restaurant the way it should be! Because of the manager's willingness to reach out to me and make sure my experience was satisfactory here, I am changing my review to 4...

The atmpsphere is that of a sports bar and resturant, quite comfortable and laid back. Plenty of dine-in seating available, and was not very busy, especially for a mid-week dinner. The food is very good and the prices are pretty consistent with what I've seen in the area. While waiting on the hostess to seat us, another party entered and was waiting for seating, then subsequently seated prior to mine. While seated, we were propmptly greeted by our server, who was pleasant. They took our appatizer order, which was brought out relatively quickly. A different person brought the appatizer out and took our order, without writing it down. Did fairly well as there were only a couple of mistakes with the orders, which were brought out by yet another person. The initial server made a few rounds to check on us as we ate. The check was delivered to us by yet another employee, which had not been split as originally related during ordering of the appatizer. It was taken back and split and brought back. The initial server came back to collect payments, took one, and immediately left. Upon returning with the receipt, saw the other payment was cash, thanked us for coming in, did not take the payment, and left. After waiting a few minutes to pay (to get change for a tip), I took the payment to the server's station to pay and request the receipt. The employees we interacted with were each pleasant...

I came from York area, although we are in the Green Phase, chester county was still in yellow. I requested an unusual favor, and they were able to accommodate with with all smiles and professionism. As mentioned York is currently in Green phase now, however while in yellow there were a few restaurants that were not following CDC and Gov. Wolfs guidelines in protecting both waitstaff and customers, and now that we are in Green I still observed these same restaurants still laxing and in not adhering to guideline. I'm in the restaurant business, so I know. While I was at Timothy's I was so extremely excited and pleased with how everyone, including the customers adhering to the rules correctly. Customers who were entering the premises, wore their masks till they were seated, I observed everything being sanitized by the staff. I would like to say BRAVO to Timothy's Management and Staff for going above and beyond, in Adhering to the CDC guidelines and keeping the customers and their staff safe. I know its not easy having minimal business and or conducting with a quarter of the staff. The Waitress was very attentive and met both mine and my friends every need.
