Fosters Freeze — Restaurant in Vacaville

I usually have a great time at this facility. Today, May 9th, 2018, however it was horrible. When I get there the is no one there and staff standing around and just looking at me. About five minutes later they finally get my order. I ordered a small triple chocolate dipped cone. A girl that works there then walks to the back and played with a boy who was also a staff member. They then started to slap each other. I just sat and waited. About 10 minutes later the girl came to the front. She then asked me what I had ordered. I told her and she then just sat around and kept talking with the boy. When she finally gave me my order it was call completely lip sided and only dipped once! Also the cone had a huge crack right down the middle. I got in my car. Less then 2 minutes later the chocolate came crashing down my dress! AND THE ICE CREAM WITH IT!!!! I am furious!!!! It was the worst experiences I have had at any fast food restaurants I have ever had. I hope that when a family comes in they’d two are not fighting because it can teach kids to fight in...

I had the california chicken sandwich and fried zucchini. Both were very good. I didn't give more stars cuz we ordered a rocky road twister that was given to us without the chocolate. When we enquired about it, we were told that they had run out (the chocolate that they dip cones into.) I understand that there are supply chain issues, but,imo, there is NO reason they should not have told us up front. There are only 3 ingredients besides the ice cream in this twister (chocolate, marshmallow and nuts) so to remove 1 was very noticeable. The young man that made it re-did it, put in some chocolate sauce, and gave us a double portion, all at my husband's suggestion. I agree the food is average but the memorabilia they have on the walls is incredible. It is worth going in to see their displays. I went there with a resident that grew up there and he has a lot of memories. Whats better than an old fashioned burger and fries. Finish it off with an ice cream cone. Great architecture and service. I went for food! Old fashioned burger and old fashioned with cheese and bacon. Onion rings and fries as sides. Seemed a constant line but moved fast. One lone guy on the grill poor dude! But it was about 10 min and order hot and ready! Fresh & good, not the best burger I've had but better than anything close by! And worth the price and wait.
