Still so annoyed after last night’s dinner experience. Went for “all you can eat bbq.” We’ve been here enough to know that if you take one small bowl it makes a mess trying to stack the meat and sauce on top of the noodles and you leave hungry or have to jump back in line for another 5-10 minutes to get a little more food. Well here I am, hugely pregnant and super hungry.. I used two bowls to take a modest amount of food to the grill (which by the way I did end up eating every last bit of it.) One employee who obviously had time on her hands, made a point to march up to me and ask me to move to the other side of the buffet (for no apparent reason as the only person behind me was my husband). Then sounded annoyed and told me “only grab one bowl per person next time…” Well, if she wants to get technical, I’m carrying two people inside of me. Lol.
She then sat there and watched my mother who we brought as a guest from out of town and got on her about “one bowl per person next time.” To be honest, I don’t know if we will come back “next time” after dealing with her attitude. Funny how quick she was to run up on us in the buffet line but didn’t have the time to come seat us for quite a while when we walked in.
Embarrassing to bring a guest from a town that had a lovely Mongolian Grill whose owner and staff were generous and treated customers like family. Not scolding and stingy over a few extra noodles at an “all you can eat” restaurant. My husband finished his one bowl, and left feeling slightly hungry because there was a line to get more. For nearly spending $100 on food, two drinks and a tip, you’d think you could treat customers better than that. Stop calling yourself “all you can eat” and charging so much if your employees are going to shame the customers for getting...
Read moreIf you have been to Genghis grill (and loved it) don’t waste your time. I have been to other Mongolian buffets in other states so I was expecting more than I got. I had the Mongolian bbq buffet and it was depressing to say the least. Not many sauce, meat, or vegetable options and no seafood at all. The flavor of the food was ok. I kept getting things in my plate that I didn’t put in my bowl from the grill. I only got 2 plates and my husband didn’t finish eating his first and only plate. For us to not keep eating says a lot because we always want to get our money’s worth.
Buffet Area The buffet area has good procedures such as gloves and single use tongs, but they don’t make sure everyone wears the gloves. I saw multiple people making bowls without wearing them. They also do not periodically clean the buffet area. The sauce section had a big pool of spilled sauce around it.
Service They seem To take on more customers than they can service. The line to get seated is long because the girl is not at the front because she has to help with other things. Tables are empty but not getting cleaned. I never saw our waiter/waitress not one time. They never checked on us, refilled drinks (cups were empty for a while), nothing. To get my check and finally a drink refill I had to track someone down and ask twice.
Final thoughts: I would not...

As I was returning to my table, I see one of the servers drop some egg rolls on the floor. Of course, I think nothing of it because why would a server serve floor food? She picked up the egg rolls, walked to another customer's table, talked for a bit, then walked over to my table. She tried to serve me the floor food. I asked her if she was going to seriously serve me that. She acted dumb. I told her I seen her pick the food off of the floor, and her response was "it was only one...do you want me to take it back?" Take a moment to digest this question. At this point, I kindly told her I didn't want anything from her. We didn't finish our meal. When walking out, the gentleman at the front said he "comped the egg rolls." I asked him if he knew that his coworker tried feed me food off of the floor. He shook his head and said he would have a talk with her. He waited a moment and said he'd comp my entire meal.
Don't order anything from the back of the restaurant unless you're okay with someone rubbing your...
